Jeremiah 36

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh,	1 وكان في السنة الرابعة ليهوياقيم بن يوشيا ملك يهوذا ان هذه الكلمة صارت الى ارميا من قبل الرب قائلة.
2 'Take a scroll and on it write al the words I have spoken to you about Israel, Judah and al the nations,from the day I first spoke to you, in the time of Josiah, until today.	2 خذ لنفسك درج سفر واكتب فيه كل الكلام الذي كلمتك به على اسرائيل وعلى يهوذا وعلى كل الشعوب من اليوم الذي كلمتك فيه من ايام يوشيا الى هذا اليوم.
3 Perhaps when the House of Judah hears about al the disaster I intend to inflict on them, they will turn,each one of them, from their evil behaviour, so that I can forgive their sinful guilt.'	3 لعل بيت يهوذا يسمعون كل الشر الذي انا مفكر ان اصنعه بهم فيرجعوا كل واحد عن طريقه الرديء فاغفر ذنبهم وخطيتهم.
4 Jeremiah then summoned Baruch son of Neriah, who at his dictation wrote down on the scrol all thewords Yahweh had spoken to him.	4 فدعا ارميا باروخ بن نيريا فكتب باروخ عن فم ارميا كل كلام الرب الذي كلمه به في درج السفر.
5 Jeremiah then gave Baruch this order, 'As I am prevented from entering the Temple of Yahweh,	5 واوصى ارميا باروخ قائلا. انا محبوس لا اقدر ان ادخل بيت الرب
6 you yourself must go and, from the scrol you wrote at my dictation, read all Yahweh's words to thepeople in his Temple on the day of the fast, and in this way you can read them in the hearing also of all theJudaeans who come in from their towns.	6 فادخل انت واقرأ في الدرج الذي كتبت عن فمي كل كلام الرب في آذان الشعب في بيت الرب في يوم الصوم واقرأه ايضا في آذان كل يهوذا القادمين من مدنهم.
7 Perhaps their prayers wil move Yahweh and they wil turn one and al from their evil behaviour, forgreat is the furious anger with which Yahweh has threatened this people.'	7 لعل تضرعهم يقع امام الرب فيرجعوا كل واحد عن طريقه الرديء لانه عظيم الغضب والغيظ اللذان تكلم بهما الرب على هذا الشعب.
8 Baruch son of Neriah duly carried out the order that the prophet Jeremiah had given him, to read alYahweh's words from the book in his Temple.	8 ففعل باروخ بن نيريا حسب كل ما اوصاه به ارميا النبي بقراءته في السفر كلام الرب في بيت الرب
9 Now, in the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, al the people ofJerusalem and all the people who could get to Jerusalem from the towns of Judah were summoned to a fastbefore Yahweh.	9 وكان في السنة الخامسة ليهوياقيم بن يوشيا ملك يهوذا في الشهر التاسع انهم نادوا لصوم امام الرب كل الشعب في اورشليم وكل الشعب القادمين من مدن يهوذا الى اورشليم.
10 Baruch then read Jeremiah's words from the book; this happened in the room of Gemariah son of thescribe Shaphan, in the upper court at the entry of the New Gate of the Temple of Yahweh, where all the peoplecould hear.	10 فقرأ باروخ في السفر كلام ارميا في بيت الرب في مخدع جمريا بن شافان الكاتب في الدار العليا في مدخل باب بيت الرب الجديد في آذان كل الشعب
11 Micaiah son of Gemariah, son of Shaphan, having heard all Yahweh's words read from the book,	11 فلما سمع ميخايا بن جمريا بن شافان كل كلام الرب من السفر
12 went down to the royal palace, to the scribe's room. Al the chief men were in session: the scribeElishama, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Achbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son ofHananiah and al the other chief men;	12 نزل الى بيت الملك الى مخدع الكاتب واذا كل الرؤساء جلوس هناك. اليشاماع الكاتب ودلايا بن شمعيا والناثان بن عكبور وجمريا بن شافان وصدقيا بن حننيا وكل الرؤساء.
13 and to them Micaiah reported al the words he heard as Baruch was reading the book aloud to thepeople.	13 واخبرهم ميخايا بكل الكلام الذي سمعه عندما قرأ باروخ السفر في آذان الشعب.
14 The chief men then by common consent sent Jehudi son of Netaniah to Baruch, with Shelemiah sonof Cushi, to say, 'Come, and bring the scrol with you which you have been reading to the people.'	14 فارسل كل الرؤساء الى باروخ يهودي بن نثنيا بن شلميا بن كوشي قائلين. الدرج الذي قرأت فيه في آذان الشعب خذه بيدك وتعال. فاخذ باروخ بن نيريا الدرج بيده واتى اليهم.
15 Bringing the scrol with him, Baruch son of Neriah appeared before them. 'Sit down,' they said, 'andread it out.' So Baruch read it to them.	15 فقالوا له اجلس واقرأه في آذاننا. فقرأ باروخ في آذانهم.
16 Having heard al the words they turned to one another in alarm and said to Baruch, 'We must certainlyinform the king of this.'	16 فكان لما سمعوا كل الكلام انهم خافوا ناظرين بعضهم الى بعض وقالوا لباروخ إخبارا نخبر الملك بكل هذا الكلام.
17 They then questioned Baruch, 'Tel us', they said, 'how you came to write al these words.'	17 ثم سألوا باروخ قائلين اخبرنا كيف كتبت كل هذا الكلام عن فمه.
18 'Jeremiah dictated them al to me,' Baruch replied, 'and I wrote them down in ink in this book.'	18 فقال لهم باروخ بفمه كان يقرأ لي كل هذا الكلام وانا كنت اكتب في السفر بالحبر.
19 The chief men said to Baruch, 'You and Jeremiah had better go into hiding; and do not tel anyonewhere you are.'	19 فقال الرؤساء لباروخ اذهب واختبئ انت وارميا ولا يعلم انسان اين انتما
20 Whereupon they went off to the king in the palace court, depositing the scrol in the room of the scribeElishama. They then informed the king of the whole affair.	20 ثم دخلوا الى الملك الى الدار واودعوا الدرج في مخدع اليشاماع الكاتب واخبروا في اذني الملك بكل الكلام.
21 The king sent Jehudi for the scrol , and he brought it from the room of the scribe Elishama and read itto the king and all the chief men standing round the king.	21 فارسل الملك يهودي لياخذ الدرج فاخذه من مخدع اليشاماع الكاتب وقرأه يهودي في اذني الملك وفي آذان كل الرؤساء الواقفين لدى الملك.
22 The king was sitting in his winter apartments -- it was the ninth month -- with a fire burning in a brazierin front of him.	22 وكان الملك جالسا في بيت الشتاء في الشهر التاسع. والكانون قدامه متقد.
23 Each time Jehudi had read three or four columns, the king cut them off with a scribe's knife and threwthem into the fire in the brazier until the whole of the scrol had been burnt in the brazier fire.	23 وكان لما قرأ يهودي ثلاثة شطور او اربعة انه شقه بمبراة الكاتب والقاه الى النار التي في الكانون حتى فني كل الدرج في النار التي في الكانون.
24 But in spite of hearing al these words, neither the king nor any of his courtiers took alarm or tore theirclothes;	24 ولم يخف الملك ولا كل عبيده السامعين كل هذا الكلام ولا شققوا ثيابهم.
25 and although Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had urged the king not to burn the scrol he wouldnot listen to them,	25 ولكن الناثان ودلايا وجمريا ترجوا الملك ان لا يحرق الدرج فلم يسمع لهم.
26 but ordered the king's son Jerahmeel and Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel toarrest the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. But Yahweh had hidden them.	26 بل أمر الملك يرحمئيل ابن الملك وسرايا بن عزرئيل وشلميا بن عبدئيل ان يقبضوا على باروخ الكاتب وارميا النبي ولكن الرب خبأهما
27 Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, after the king had burnt the scrol containing the wordsBaruch had written at Jeremiah's dictation,	27 ثم صارت كلمة الرب الى ارميا بعد احراق الملك الدرج والكلام الذي كتبه باروخ عن فم ارميا قائلة
28 'Take another scroll and write down all the words that were written on the first scrol burnt byJehoiakim king of Judah.	28 عد فخذ لنفسك درجا آخر واكتب فيه كل الكلام الاول الذي كان في الدرج الاول الذي احرقه يهوياقيم ملك يهوذا.
29 And as regards Jehoiakim king of Judah, you are to say, "Yahweh says this: You have burnt thatscrol , saying: Why have you written down: The king of Babylon will certainly come and lay this country wasteand leave it without human or animal?	29 وقل ليهوياقيم ملك يهوذا. هكذا قال الرب. انت قد احرقت ذلك الدرج قائلا لماذا كتبت فيه قائلا مجيئا يجيء ملك بابل ويهلك هذه الارض ويلاشي منها الانسان والحيوان.
30 So, this is what Yahweh says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: He wil have no one to occupy thethrone of David, and his corpse wil be tossed out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.	30 لذلك هكذا قال الرب عن يهوياقيم ملك يهوذا. لا يكون له جالس على كرسي داود وتكون جثته مطروحة للحر نهارا وللبرد ليلا.
31 I shal punish him, his offspring and his courtiers for their guilt; on them, on the citizens of Jerusalemand on the people of Judah I shal bring the total disaster which I had decreed for them but to which they havepaid no attention."	31 واعاقبه ونسله وعبيده على اثمهم واجلب عليهم وعلى سكان اورشليم وعلى رجال يهوذا كل الشر الذي كلمتهم عنه ولم يسمعوا
32 Jeremiah then took another scrol and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, who in it atJeremiah's dictation wrote all the words of the book that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burnt, with many similarwords in addition.	32 فاخذ ارميا درجا آخر ودفعه لباروخ بن نيريا الكاتب فكتب فيه عن فم ارميا كل كلام السفر الذي احرقه يهوياقيم ملك يهوذا بالنار وزيد عليه ايضا كلام كثير مثله
