Jeremiah 36

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh,	1 Im vierten Jahr Jojakims, des Sohnes Joschijas, des Königs von Juda, erging vom Herrn dieses Wort an Jeremia:
2 'Take a scroll and on it write al the words I have spoken to you about Israel, Judah and al the nations,from the day I first spoke to you, in the time of Josiah, until today.	2 Nimm dir eine Buchrolle und schreib darauf alle Worte, die ich zu dir über Israel und Juda und über alle Völker gesprochen habe, seitdem ich zu dir rede, von den Tagen Joschijas an bis heute.
3 Perhaps when the House of Judah hears about al the disaster I intend to inflict on them, they will turn,each one of them, from their evil behaviour, so that I can forgive their sinful guilt.'	3 Vielleicht werden die Leute vom Haus Juda, wenn sie hören, wie viel Unheil ich ihnen antun will, umkehren von ihrem bösen Weg und ich kann ihnen Schuld und Sünde verzeihen.
4 Jeremiah then summoned Baruch son of Neriah, who at his dictation wrote down on the scrol all thewords Yahweh had spoken to him.	4 Da rief Jeremia Baruch, den Sohn Nerijas, und Baruch schrieb nach dem Diktat Jeremias alle Worte, die der Herr zu ihm gesprochen hatte, auf eine Buchrolle.
5 Jeremiah then gave Baruch this order, 'As I am prevented from entering the Temple of Yahweh,	5 Jeremia gab hierauf Baruch folgenden Auftrag: Mir ist es verwehrt, das Haus des Herrn zu betreten.
6 you yourself must go and, from the scrol you wrote at my dictation, read all Yahweh's words to thepeople in his Temple on the day of the fast, and in this way you can read them in the hearing also of all theJudaeans who come in from their towns.	6 Darum geh du hin und lies am Fasttag aus der Rolle, die du nach meinem Diktat geschrieben hast, dem Volk im Haus des Herrn die Worte des Herrn vor. Auch allen Judäern, die aus ihren Städten herbeiströmen, sollst du sie vorlesen.
7 Perhaps their prayers wil move Yahweh and they wil turn one and al from their evil behaviour, forgreat is the furious anger with which Yahweh has threatened this people.'	7 Vielleicht flehen sie vor dem Herrn um Erbarmen und kehren um, jeder von seinem bösen Weg; denn groß ist der Zorn und Grimm, den der Herr diesem Volk angedroht hat.
8 Baruch son of Neriah duly carried out the order that the prophet Jeremiah had given him, to read alYahweh's words from the book in his Temple.	8 Baruch, der Sohn Nerijas, handelte genau nach dem Auftrag des Propheten Jeremia und las im Haus des Herrn die Worte des Herrn aus dem Buch vor.
9 Now, in the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, al the people ofJerusalem and all the people who could get to Jerusalem from the towns of Judah were summoned to a fastbefore Yahweh.	9 Im fünften Jahr Jojakims, des Sohnes Joschijas, des Königs von Juda, hatte man im neunten Monat alles Volk in Jerusalem und alle Leute, die von den Städten Judas nach Jerusalem kommen sollten, zu einem Fasten vor dem Herrn aufgerufen.
10 Baruch then read Jeremiah's words from the book; this happened in the room of Gemariah son of thescribe Shaphan, in the upper court at the entry of the New Gate of the Temple of Yahweh, where all the peoplecould hear.	10 Nun las Baruch im Haus des Herrn dem ganzen Volk aus dem Buch die Worte Jeremias vor, und zwar in der Halle Gemarjas, des Sohnes des Staatsschreibers Schafan, im oberen Vorhof am Eingang des Neuen Tempeltores.
11 Micaiah son of Gemariah, son of Shaphan, having heard all Yahweh's words read from the book,	11 Als Micha, der Sohn Gemarjas, des Sohnes Schafans, alle Worte des Herrn aus dem Buch vernommen hatte,
12 went down to the royal palace, to the scribe's room. Al the chief men were in session: the scribeElishama, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Achbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son ofHananiah and al the other chief men;	12 ging er hinab in den Königspalast zur Halle des Staatsschreibers. Dort waren gerade alle hohen Beamten zu einer Sitzung versammelt: der Staatsschreiber Elischama, Delaja, der Sohn Schemajas, Elnatan, der Sohn Achbors, Gemarja, der Sohn Schafans, Zidkija, der Sohn Hananjas, und alle sonstigen Beamten.
13 and to them Micaiah reported al the words he heard as Baruch was reading the book aloud to thepeople.	13 Micha teilte ihnen alle Worte mit, die er gehört hatte, als Baruch dem Volk aus dem Buch vorlas.
14 The chief men then by common consent sent Jehudi son of Netaniah to Baruch, with Shelemiah sonof Cushi, to say, 'Come, and bring the scrol with you which you have been reading to the people.'	14 Da schickten die versammelten Beamten Jehudi, den Sohn Netanjas, des Sohnes Schelemjas, des Sohnes Kuschis, zu Baruch und ließen ihm sagen: Nimm die Rolle, aus der du dem Volk vorgelesen hast, und komm hierher! Sogleich nahm Baruch, der Sohn Nerijas, die Rolle und ging zu ihnen.
15 Bringing the scrol with him, Baruch son of Neriah appeared before them. 'Sit down,' they said, 'andread it out.' So Baruch read it to them.	15 Sie sagten zu ihm: Setz dich und lies sie uns vor! Nun las ihnen Baruch vor.
16 Having heard al the words they turned to one another in alarm and said to Baruch, 'We must certainlyinform the king of this.'	16 Als sie all die Worte hörten, schauten sie einander erschrocken an und sagten [zu Baruch]: Wir müssen das alles dem König mitteilen.
17 They then questioned Baruch, 'Tel us', they said, 'how you came to write al these words.'	17 Sie fragten Baruch: Sag uns doch, wie hast du alle diese Worte niedergeschrieben?
18 'Jeremiah dictated them al to me,' Baruch replied, 'and I wrote them down in ink in this book.'	18 Baruch erwiderte ihnen: Jeremia hat mir alle diese Worte diktiert und ich habe sie mit Tinte in das Buch geschrieben.
19 The chief men said to Baruch, 'You and Jeremiah had better go into hiding; and do not tel anyonewhere you are.'	19 Darauf sagten die Beamten zu Baruch: Geh und verbirg dich, du und auch Jeremia! Niemand soll wissen, wo ihr seid.
20 Whereupon they went off to the king in the palace court, depositing the scrol in the room of the scribeElishama. They then informed the king of the whole affair.	20 Dann begaben sie sich zum König in den Palasthof, nachdem sie die Rolle in der Halle des Staatsschreibers Elischama verwahrt hatten, und berichteten das alles dem König.
21 The king sent Jehudi for the scrol , and he brought it from the room of the scribe Elishama and read itto the king and all the chief men standing round the king.	21 Da gab der König dem Jehudi den Auftrag, die Rolle zu holen, und dieser holte sie aus der Halle des Staatsschreibers Elischama. Und Jehudi las sie dem König vor und allen Beamten, die um den König herumstanden.
22 The king was sitting in his winter apartments -- it was the ninth month -- with a fire burning in a brazierin front of him.	22 Der König wohnte im Winterhaus, es war ja der neunte Monat, und vor ihm brannte das Feuer auf dem Kohlenbecken.
23 Each time Jehudi had read three or four columns, the king cut them off with a scribe's knife and threwthem into the fire in the brazier until the whole of the scrol had been burnt in the brazier fire.	23 Sooft nun Jehudi drei oder vier Spalten gelesen hatte, schnitt sie der König mit dem Schreibermesser ab und warf sie in das Feuer auf dem Kohlenbecken, bis das Feuer auf dem Kohlenbecken die ganze Rolle verzehrt hatte.
24 But in spite of hearing al these words, neither the king nor any of his courtiers took alarm or tore theirclothes;	24 Niemand erschrak und niemand zerriss seine Kleider, weder der König noch irgendeiner seiner Diener, die all diese Worte gehört hatten.
25 and although Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had urged the king not to burn the scrol he wouldnot listen to them,	25 Selbst als Elnatan, Delaja und Gemarja den König bestürmten, die Rolle nicht zu verbrennen, hörte er nicht auf sie.
26 but ordered the king's son Jerahmeel and Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel toarrest the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. But Yahweh had hidden them.	26 Vielmehr befahl der König dem Prinzen Jerachmeël, ferner Seraja, dem Sohn Asriëls, und Schelemja, dem Sohn Abdeëls, den Schreiber Baruch und den Propheten Jeremia festzunehmen; aber der Herr hielt sie verborgen.
27 Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, after the king had burnt the scrol containing the wordsBaruch had written at Jeremiah's dictation,	27 Nachdem der König die Rolle mit den Worten, die Baruch nach dem Diktat Jeremias niedergeschrieben hat, verbrannt hatte, erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremia:
28 'Take another scroll and write down all the words that were written on the first scrol burnt byJehoiakim king of Judah.	28 Nimm dir eine andere Rolle und schreib all die früheren Worte darauf, die auf der ersten Rolle standen, die Jojakim, der König von Juda, verbrannt hat.
29 And as regards Jehoiakim king of Judah, you are to say, "Yahweh says this: You have burnt thatscrol , saying: Why have you written down: The king of Babylon will certainly come and lay this country wasteand leave it without human or animal?	29 Über Jojakim aber, den König von Juda, sollst du sagen: So spricht der Herr: Du hast diese Rolle verbrannt und gesagt: Warum hast du darin geschrieben, der König von Babel werde bestimmt kommen, dieses Land verheeren und Mensch und Vieh darin vernichten?
30 So, this is what Yahweh says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: He wil have no one to occupy thethrone of David, and his corpse wil be tossed out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.	30 Darum - so spricht der Herr über Jojakim, den König von Juda: Er wird keinen Nachkommen mehr haben, der auf dem Thron Davids sitzt, und sein Leichnam soll weggeworfen werden und der Hitze des Tags und der Kälte der Nacht ausgesetzt sein.
31 I shal punish him, his offspring and his courtiers for their guilt; on them, on the citizens of Jerusalemand on the people of Judah I shal bring the total disaster which I had decreed for them but to which they havepaid no attention."	31 Ich ziehe ihn, seine Nachkommen und seine Diener zur Rechenschaft für ihre Schuld. Ich bringe über sie, über die Einwohner Jerusalems und die Leute von Juda all das Unheil, das ich ihnen angedroht habe, ohne dass sie hören wollten.
32 Jeremiah then took another scrol and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, who in it atJeremiah's dictation wrote all the words of the book that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burnt, with many similarwords in addition.	32 Da nahm Jeremia eine andere Rolle und übergab sie dem Schreiber Baruch, dem Sohn Nerijas. Dieser schrieb auf sie nach dem Diktat Jeremias alle Worte des Buches, das Jojakim, der König von Juda, im Feuer verbrannt hatte. Ihnen wurden noch viele ähnliche Worte hinzugefügt.
