Isaiah 45

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Thus says Yahweh to his anointed one, to Cyrus whom, he says, I have grasped by his right hand, tomake the nations bow before him and to disarm kings, to open gateways before him so that their gates be closedno more:	1 Queste cose dice il Signore al suo unto Ciro, da me preso per mano, per assoggettare davanti a lui le nazioni, porre in fuga i re, aprir davanti a lui le porte; e le porte resteranno aperte.
2 I myself shal go before you, I shall level the heights, I shal shatter the bronze gateways, I shall smashthe iron bars.	2 Io andrò dinnanzi a te; umilierò i grandi della terra, romperò le porte di bronzo, spezzerò le sbarre di ferro.
3 I shal give you secret treasures and hidden hoards of wealth, so that you will know that I am Yahweh,who cal you by your name, the God of Israel.	3 A te darò i tesori nascosti, le ricchezze sepolte; affinchè tu sappia ch'io sono il Signore, il Dio d'Israele che ti chiamo a nome.
4 It is for the sake of my servant Jacob and of Israel my chosen one, that I have cal ed you by your name,have given you a title though you do not know me.	4 Per amor del mio servo Giacobbe e d'Israele mio eletto io t'ho chiamato a nome, t'ho scelto, e tu non m'hai conosciuto;
5 I am Yahweh, and there is no other, there is no other God except me. Though you do not know me, Ihave armed you	5 io sono il Signore, e non ve ne può essere altri: fuori di me non v'è Dio. Io t'ho cinto, quando tu non mi conoscevi,
6 so that it may be known from east to west that there is no one except me. I am Yahweh, and there is noother,	6 affinchè si sappia all'oriente all'occidente che è niente fuori di me. Io sono il Signore e non ve n'è altri.
7 I form the light and I create the darkness, I make well-being, and I create disaster, I, Yahweh, do althese things.	7 Io formo la luce e creo le tenebre, io fo la pace e fo venire le sventure, io sono il Signore che fo tutte queste cose.
8 Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down saving justice, let the earth openup and blossom with salvation, and let justice sprout with it; I, Yahweh, have created it!	8 Mandate dall'alto, o cieli, la vostra rugiada, e le nubi piovano il Giusto; si apra la terra germogli il Salvatore, e nasca insieme la giustizia! Io, il Signore, l'ho creato.
9 Woe to anyone who argues with his Maker, one earthenware pot among many! Does the clay say to itspotter, 'What are you doing? Your work has no hands!'	9 Guai a colui che contende con chi l'ha fatto, un coccio dei vasi di Samo. L'argilla, potrà, dire al vasaio: « Che fai? il tuo lavoro è senza mani? »
10 Woe to anyone who asks a father, 'Why are you begetting?' and a woman, 'Why are you giving birth?'	10 Guai a colui che dice al padre: « Perchè generi? » e alla donna: « Perchè partorisci? »
11 Thus says Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker: I am asked for signs regarding my sons, Iam given orders about the work I do.	11 Così parla il Signore, il Santo d'Israele, il suo plasmatore: « Interrogatemi sulle cose future, sopra i miei figli, datemi ordini sopra l'opera delle mie mani.
12 It was I who made the earth and I created human beings on it, mine were the hands that spread outthe heavens and I have given the orders to all their array.	12 Io feci la terra, e sopra di essa creai l'uomo, le mie mani distesero i cieli, io diedi gli ordini a tutto il loro esercito.
13 I myself have raised him in saving justice and I shall make all paths level for him. He will rebuild mycity and bring my exiles home without ransom or indemnity, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	13 Io l'ho suscitato per la giustizia, e guiderò tutti i suoi passi: egli edificherà la mia città, darà la libertà ai miei schiavi, senza prezzo, senza donativi » dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti. —
14 Thus says Yahweh: The produce of Egypt, the commerce of Cush and the men of Seba, tall ofstature, wil come over to you and belong to you. They will fol ow you, walking in chains, they wil bow beforeyou, they wil pray to you, 'With you alone is God, and there is no other! The gods do not exist.'	14 Così parla il Signore: « Il lavoro dell'Egitto, il commercio dell'Etiopia e i Sabei dall'alta statura, verranno a te, e saranno tuoi, cammineranno dietro a te, cammineranno colle mani incatenate, e ti adoreranno, e ti diranno supplicando: « In te solamente è Dio e fuori di te non c'è Dio.
15 Truly, you are a God who conceals himself, God of Israel, Saviour!	15 In verità tu sei un Dio nascosto, o Dio d'Israele, o Salvatore ».
16 They are shamed and humbled, every one of them, humiliated they go, the makers of idols.	16 Son tutti confusi e svergognati, son precipitati insieme nell'obbrobrio i fabbricatori di errori.
17 Israel wil be saved by Yahweh, saved everlastingly. You will never be ashamed or humiliated for everand ever.	17 Israele è stato salvato dal Signore con salvezza eterna; non sarete confusi, non arrossirete per tutti i secoli.
18 For thus says Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens -- he is God, who shaped the earth and made it,who set it firm; he did not create it to be chaos, he formed it to be lived in: I am Yahweh, and there is no other.	18 Perchè così dice il Signore, creatore del cielo, lo stesso Dio che ha formata la terra, l'ha fatta, l'ha plasmata, non invano l'ha creata, l'ha formata perchè fosse abitata: « Io sono il Signore, e non ve n'è altri.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in some dark corner of the underworld. I did not say, 'Offspring of Jacob,search for me in chaos!' I am Yahweh: I proclaim saving justice, I say what is true.	19 Io non ho parlato di nascosto, in luogo tenebroso della terra, non dissi alla stirpe di Giacobbe: — Cercatemi invano. — Io sono il Signore che dico il giusto e annunzio il retto.
20 Assemble, come, al of you gather round, survivors of the nations. They have no knowledge, thosewho parade their wooden idols and pray to a god that cannot save.	20 Radunatevi, venite, accostatevi insieme, o salvati delle nazioni. Non capiscon niente quelli che innalzano il loro idolo di legno e pregano un dio che non salva.
21 Speak up, present your case, let them put their heads together! Who foretold this in the past, whorevealed it long ago? Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no other god except me, no saving God, no Saviour exceptme!	21 Chiamate, venite, consigliatevi insieme: questo ehi lo fece sapere da principio, chi lo predisse fin d'allora? Non son forse io, il Signore? C'è altro Dio fuori di me? Fuori di me non c'è altro Dio giusto e salvatore.
22 Turn to me and you wil be saved, al you ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other.	22 Volgetevi a me e sarete salvi, voi tutti, o confini della terra, perchè io son Dio e non ce n'è altri.
23 By my own self I swear it; what comes from my mouth is saving justice, it is an irrevocable word: Alshall bend the knee to me, by me every tongue shall swear,	23 L'ho giurato per me stesso: dalla mia bocca uscirà parola di giustizia, e non sarà revocata.
24 saying, 'In Yahweh alone are saving justice and strength,' until al those who used to rage at him cometo him in shame.	24 Perchè dinanzi a me si piegherà ogni ginocchio, per me giurerà ogni lingua.
25 In Yahweh the whole race of Israel finds justice and glory.	25 Così diranno: « Nel Signore la mia giustizia, l'impero »; a lui saran condotti svergognati tutti quelli che gli si oppongono.
	26 Nel Signore sarà giustificata e glorificata tutta la stirpe d'Israele ».
