Isaiah 45

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Thus says Yahweh to his anointed one, to Cyrus whom, he says, I have grasped by his right hand, tomake the nations bow before him and to disarm kings, to open gateways before him so that their gates be closedno more:	1 Así habla el Señor a su ungido, a Ciro, a quien tomé de la mano derecha, para someter ante él a las naciones y desarmar a los reyes para abrir ante él las puertas de las ciudades, de manera que no puedan cerrarse.
2 I myself shal go before you, I shall level the heights, I shal shatter the bronze gateways, I shall smashthe iron bars.	2 Yo iré delante de ti y allanaré los cerros; romperé las puertas de bronce y haré saltar los cerrojos de hierro.
3 I shal give you secret treasures and hidden hoards of wealth, so that you will know that I am Yahweh,who cal you by your name, the God of Israel.	3 Te daré tesoros secretos y riquezas escondidas, para que sepas que yo soy el Señor, el que te llama por tu nombre, el Dios de Israel.
4 It is for the sake of my servant Jacob and of Israel my chosen one, that I have cal ed you by your name,have given you a title though you do not know me.	4 Por amor a Jacob, mi servidor, y a Israel, mi elegido, yo te llamé por tu nombre, te di un título insigne, sin que tú me conocieras.
5 I am Yahweh, and there is no other, there is no other God except me. Though you do not know me, Ihave armed you	5 Yo soy el Señor, y no hay otro, no hay ningún Dios fuera de mí, Yo hice empuñar las armas, sin que tú me conocieras,
6 so that it may be known from east to west that there is no one except me. I am Yahweh, and there is noother,	6 para que se conozca, desde el Oriente y el Occidente, que no hay nada fuera de mí. Yo soy el Señor, y no hay otro.
7 I form the light and I create the darkness, I make well-being, and I create disaster, I, Yahweh, do althese things.	7 Yo formo la luz y creo las tinieblas, hago la felicidad y creo la desgracia: yo, el Señor, soy el que hago todo esto.
8 Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down saving justice, let the earth openup and blossom with salvation, and let justice sprout with it; I, Yahweh, have created it!	8 Destilen, cielos, desde lo alto, y que las nubes derramen la justicia! Que se abra la tierra y produzca la salvación, y que también haga germinar la justicia! Yo, el Señor, he creado todo esto.
9 Woe to anyone who argues with his Maker, one earthenware pot among many! Does the clay say to itspotter, 'What are you doing? Your work has no hands!'	9 ¡Ay del que desafía al que lo modela, siendo sólo un tiesto entre los tiestos de la tierra! ¿Acaso la arcilla dice al alfarero: «¿Qué haces?» o «Tu obra no tiene asas»?
10 Woe to anyone who asks a father, 'Why are you begetting?' and a woman, 'Why are you giving birth?'	10 ¡Ay del que dice a un padre: «¿Qué has engendrado?», o a una mujer: «¿Qué has dado a luz?»!
11 Thus says Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker: I am asked for signs regarding my sons, Iam given orders about the work I do.	11 Así habla el Señor, el Santo de Israel, el que lo modela: ¿Acaso van a interrogarme sobre mis hijos y a darme órdenes sobre la obra de mis manos?
12 It was I who made the earth and I created human beings on it, mine were the hands that spread outthe heavens and I have given the orders to all their array.	12 Soy yo el que hice la tierra y he creado al hombre sobre ella; mis manos extendieron el cielo y yo dirijo todo su ejército.
13 I myself have raised him in saving justice and I shall make all paths level for him. He will rebuild mycity and bring my exiles home without ransom or indemnity, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	13 Yo lo suscité en la justicia y allanaré todos sus caminos. El reconstruirá mi ciudad y repatriará a mis desterrados, sin pago ni soborno, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
14 Thus says Yahweh: The produce of Egypt, the commerce of Cush and the men of Seba, tall ofstature, wil come over to you and belong to you. They will fol ow you, walking in chains, they wil bow beforeyou, they wil pray to you, 'With you alone is God, and there is no other! The gods do not exist.'	14 Así habla el Señor: Las ganancias de Egipto, las mercancías de Cus, y los hombres de Sebá, de elevada estatura, desfilarán ante ti y te pertenecerán; irán detrás de ti, desfilarán encadenados, se postrarán ante ti y te dirán suplicantes: «Sólo en ti está Dios, y no hay otro; los dioses no son nada».
15 Truly, you are a God who conceals himself, God of Israel, Saviour!	15 ¡Realmente, tú eres un Dios que se oculta, Dios de Israel, Salvador!
16 They are shamed and humbled, every one of them, humiliated they go, the makers of idols.	16 Los fabricantes de ídolos están avergonzados y confundidos, se van todos juntos, llenos de confusión.
17 Israel wil be saved by Yahweh, saved everlastingly. You will never be ashamed or humiliated for everand ever.	17 Israel ha sido salvado por el Señor, con una salvación eterna; ustedes no quedarán avergonzados ni confundidos por los siglos de los siglos.
18 For thus says Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens -- he is God, who shaped the earth and made it,who set it firm; he did not create it to be chaos, he formed it to be lived in: I am Yahweh, and there is no other.	18 Porque así habla el Señor, el que creó el cielo y es Dios, el que modeló la tierra, la hizo y la afianzó, y no la creó vacía, sino que la formó para que fuera habitada: Yo soy el Señor, y no hay otro.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in some dark corner of the underworld. I did not say, 'Offspring of Jacob,search for me in chaos!' I am Yahweh: I proclaim saving justice, I say what is true.	19 Yo no hablé en lo secreto, en algún lugar de un país tenebroso. Yo no dije a los descendientes de Jacob: «Búsquenme en el vacío». Yo, el Señor, digo lo que justo, anuncio lo que es recto.
20 Assemble, come, al of you gather round, survivors of the nations. They have no knowledge, thosewho parade their wooden idols and pray to a god that cannot save.	20 ¡Reúnanse y vengan, acérquense todos juntos, fugitivos de las naciones! No saben lo que hacen los que llevan su ídolo de madera, y suplican a un dios que no puede salvar.
21 Speak up, present your case, let them put their heads together! Who foretold this in the past, whorevealed it long ago? Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no other god except me, no saving God, no Saviour exceptme!	21 ¡Declaren, expongan sus pruebas! ¡Sí, deliberen todos juntos! ¿Quién predijo esto antiguamente y lo anunció en los tiempos pasados? ¿No fui yo, el Señor? No hay otro Dios fuera de mí; un Dios justo y salvador, no lo hay, excepto yo.
22 Turn to me and you wil be saved, al you ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other.	22 Vuélvanse a mí, y serán salvados, todos los confines de la tierra, porque yo soy Dios, y no hay otro.
23 By my own self I swear it; what comes from my mouth is saving justice, it is an irrevocable word: Alshall bend the knee to me, by me every tongue shall swear,	23 Lo he jurado por mí mismo, de mi boca ha salido la justicia, una palabra irrevocable: Ante mí se doblará toda rodilla, toda lengua jurará por mí,
24 saying, 'In Yahweh alone are saving justice and strength,' until al those who used to rage at him cometo him in shame.	24 diciendo: Sólo en el Señor están los actos de justicia y el poder. Hasta él llegarán avergonzados todos los que se enfurecieron contra él.
25 In Yahweh the whole race of Israel finds justice and glory.	25 En el Señor hallará la justicia y se gloriará toda la descendencia de Israel.
