Isaiah 45

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Thus says Yahweh to his anointed one, to Cyrus whom, he says, I have grasped by his right hand, tomake the nations bow before him and to disarm kings, to open gateways before him so that their gates be closedno more:	1 Así dice Yahveh a su Ungido Ciro, a quien he tomado de la diestra para someter ante él a las naciones y desceñir las cinturas de los reyes, para abrir ante él los batientes de modo que no queden cerradas las puertas.
2 I myself shal go before you, I shall level the heights, I shal shatter the bronze gateways, I shall smashthe iron bars.	2 Yo marcharé delante de ti y allanaré las pendientes. Quebraré los batientes de bronce y romperé los cerrojos de hierro.
3 I shal give you secret treasures and hidden hoards of wealth, so that you will know that I am Yahweh,who cal you by your name, the God of Israel.	3 Te daré los tesoros ocultos y las riquezas escondidas, para que sepas que yo soy Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, que te llamo por tu nombre.
4 It is for the sake of my servant Jacob and of Israel my chosen one, that I have cal ed you by your name,have given you a title though you do not know me.	4 A causa de mi siervo Jacob y de Israel, mi elegido, te he llamado por tu nombre y te he ennoblecido, sin que tú me conozcas.
5 I am Yahweh, and there is no other, there is no other God except me. Though you do not know me, Ihave armed you	5 Yo soy Yahveh, no hay ningún otro; fuera de mí ningún dios existe. Yo te he ceñido, sin que tú me conozcas,
6 so that it may be known from east to west that there is no one except me. I am Yahweh, and there is noother,	6 para que se sepa desde el sol levante hasta el poniente, que todo es nada fuera de mí. Yo soy Yahveh, no ningún otro;
7 I form the light and I create the darkness, I make well-being, and I create disaster, I, Yahweh, do althese things.	7 yo modelo la luz y creo la tiniebla, yo hago la dicha y creo la desgracia, yo soy Yahveh, el que hago todo esto.
8 Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down saving justice, let the earth openup and blossom with salvation, and let justice sprout with it; I, Yahweh, have created it!	8 Destilad, cielos, como rocío de lo alto, derramad, nubes, la victoria. Abrase la tierra y produzca salvación, y germine juntamente la justicia. Yo, Yahveh, lo he creado.
9 Woe to anyone who argues with his Maker, one earthenware pot among many! Does the clay say to itspotter, 'What are you doing? Your work has no hands!'	9 ¡Ay de quien litiga con el que la ha modelado, la vasija entre las vasijas de barro! ¿Dice la arcilla al que la modela: «¿Qué haces tú?», y «¿Tu obra no está hecha con destreza?»
10 Woe to anyone who asks a father, 'Why are you begetting?' and a woman, 'Why are you giving birth?'	10 ¡Ay del que dice a su padre!: «¿Qué has engendrado?» y a su madre: «¿Qué has dado a luz?»
11 Thus says Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker: I am asked for signs regarding my sons, Iam given orders about the work I do.	11 Así dice Yahveh, el Santo de Israel y su modelador: «¿Vais a pedirme señales acerca de mis hijos y a darme órdenes acerca de la obra de mis manos?
12 It was I who made the earth and I created human beings on it, mine were the hands that spread outthe heavens and I have given the orders to all their array.	12 Yo hice la tierra y creé al hombre en ella. Yo extendí los cielos con mis manos y doy órdenes a todo su ejército.
13 I myself have raised him in saving justice and I shall make all paths level for him. He will rebuild mycity and bring my exiles home without ransom or indemnity, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	13 Yo le he suscitado para la victoria y he allanado todos sus caminos. El reconstruirá mi ciudad y enviará a mis deportados sin rescate y sin recompensa», dice Yahveh Sebaot.
14 Thus says Yahweh: The produce of Egypt, the commerce of Cush and the men of Seba, tall ofstature, wil come over to you and belong to you. They will fol ow you, walking in chains, they wil bow beforeyou, they wil pray to you, 'With you alone is God, and there is no other! The gods do not exist.'	14 Así dice Yahveh: Los productos de Egipto, el comercio de Kus y los sebaítas, de elevada estatura, vendrán a ti y tuyos serán. Irán detrás de ti, encadenados, ante ti se postrarán, y te suplicarán: «Sólo en ti hay Dios, no hay ningún otro, no hay más dioses».
15 Truly, you are a God who conceals himself, God of Israel, Saviour!	15 De cierto que tú eres un dios oculto, el Dios de Israel, salvador.
16 They are shamed and humbled, every one of them, humiliated they go, the makers of idols.	16 Quedarán abochornados, afrentados, marcharán con ignominia los fabricadores de ídolos.
17 Israel wil be saved by Yahweh, saved everlastingly. You will never be ashamed or humiliated for everand ever.	17 Israel será salvado por Yahveh, con salvación perpetua. No quedaréis abochornados ni afrentados nunca jamás.
18 For thus says Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens -- he is God, who shaped the earth and made it,who set it firm; he did not create it to be chaos, he formed it to be lived in: I am Yahweh, and there is no other.	18 Pues así dice Yahveh, creador de los cielos, él, que es Dios, plasmador de la tierra y su hacedor, él, que la ha fundamentado, y no la creó caótica, sino que para ser habitada la plasmó: «Yo soy Yahveh, no existe ningún otro.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in some dark corner of the underworld. I did not say, 'Offspring of Jacob,search for me in chaos!' I am Yahweh: I proclaim saving justice, I say what is true.	19 No he hablado en oculto ni en lugar tenebroso. No he dicho al linaje de Jacob: Buscadme en el caos. Yo soy Yahveh, que digo lo que es justo y anuncio lo que es recto».
20 Assemble, come, al of you gather round, survivors of the nations. They have no knowledge, thosewho parade their wooden idols and pray to a god that cannot save.	20 Reuníos y venid, acercaos todos, supervivientes de las naciones. No saben nada los que llevan sus ídolos de madera, los que suplican a un dios que no puede salvar.
21 Speak up, present your case, let them put their heads together! Who foretold this in the past, whorevealed it long ago? Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no other god except me, no saving God, no Saviour exceptme!	21 Exponed, aducid vuestras pruebas, deliberad todos juntos: «¿Quién hizo oír esto desde antiguo y lo anunció hace tiempo? ¿No he sido yo Yahveh? No hay otro dios, fuera de mí. Dios justo y salvador, no hay otro fuera de mí.
22 Turn to me and you wil be saved, al you ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other.	22 Volveos a mí y seréis salvados confines todos de la tierra, porque yo soy Dios, no existe ningún otro.
23 By my own self I swear it; what comes from my mouth is saving justice, it is an irrevocable word: Alshall bend the knee to me, by me every tongue shall swear,	23 Yo juro por mi nombre; de mi boca sale palabra verdadera y no será vana: Que ante mí se doblará toda rodilla y toda lengua jurará
24 saying, 'In Yahweh alone are saving justice and strength,' until al those who used to rage at him cometo him in shame.	24 diciendo: ¡Sólo en Yahveh hay victoria y fuerza! A él se volverán abochornados todos los que se inflamaban contra él.
25 In Yahweh the whole race of Israel finds justice and glory.	25 Por Yahveh triunfará y será gloriosa toda la raza de Israel.
