Isaiah 19

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Proclamation about Egypt: Look! Yahweh, riding a swift cloud, is coming to Egypt. The false gods ofEgypt totter before him and Egypt's heart quails within her.	1 Oráculo contra Egipto. Allá va Yahveh cabalgando sobre nube ligera y entra en Egipto, se tambalean los ídolos de Egipto ante él y el corazón de Egipto se derrite en su interior.
2 I shal stir up Egypt against Egypt, they wil fight one another, brother against brother, friend againstfriend, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.	2 Revolveré a egipcios contra egipcios, peleará cada cual con su hermano, y cada uno con su compañero, ciudad contra ciudad, reino contra reino.
3 Egypt's spirit wil fail within her and I shal confound her deliberations. They will consult false gods andwizards, ghosts and sorcerers.	3 Se trastornará el espíritu de Egipto en su interior, y sus planes anularé. Consultarán a los ídolos, a los brujos, a los nigromantes y los adivinos.
4 And I shal hand Egypt over to the clutches of a cruel master, a ruthless king wil rule them -- declaresYahweh Sabaoth.	4 Entregaré a Egipto en manos de un señor duro, y un rey cruel los dominará - oráculo del Señor Yahveh Sebaot -.
5 The waters wil ebb from the sea, the river will dry up and run low,	5 Se desecarán las aguas del mar, y el Río se secará y quedará seco; hederán los ríos,
6 the streams wil become foul, the rivers of Egypt sink and dry up. Rush and reed wil turn black,	6 menguarán y se secarán los canales de Egipto. La caña y el junco se marchitarán.
7 the Nile-plants on the banks of the Nile; all the vegetation of the Nile, will wither, blow away and be nomore.	7 Los prados junto al canal, junto al borde del canal, y todo sembrado del canal se secarán, serán aventados y desaparecerán.
8 The fishermen wil groan, it will be mourning for al who cast hook in the Nile; those who spread nets onthe waters wil lose heart.	8 Gemirán los pescadores, y se lamentarán todos los que echan en el canal anzuelo; y los que extienden red sobre las aguas, languidecerán.
9 The workers of carded flax and the weavers of white cloth wil be confounded,	9 Estarán confusos los que trabajan el lino, cardadoras y tejedores palidecerán.
10 the weavers dismayed, al the workmen dejected.	10 Estarán sus tejedores abatidos, todos los jornaleros desanimados.
11 Yes, the princes of Zoan are fools, Pharaoh's wisest councillors make up a stupid council. How dare you say to Pharaoh, 'I am descended from sages, I am descended from bygone kings'?	11 En verdad, están locos los príncipes de Soán, los sabios consejeros de Faraón forman un estúpido consejo. ¿Cómo decís a Faraón: «Hijo de sabios soy, hijo de reyes antiguos?»
12 Where are these sages of yours? Let them tel you, so that all may know, the plans Yahweh Sabaothhas made against Egypt!	12 Pues entonces, ¿dónde están tus sabios? Que te manifiesten, pues, y te hagan conocer lo que ha planeado Yahveh Sebaot tocante a Egipto.
13 The princes of Zoan are fools, the princes of Noph, self-deceivers, the top men of her provinces haveled Egypt astray.	13 Han enloquecido los príncipes de Soán, han sido engañados los príncipes de Nof; los jefes de sus tribus extravían a Egipto.
14 Yahweh has infused them with a giddy spirit; they have led Egypt astray in al she undertakes like adrunkard straying about as he vomits.	14 Yahveh ha infundido en ellos espíritu de vértigo que hace dar tumbos a Egipto en todas sus empresas, como se tambalea el ebrio en su vomitona.
15 Nowadays no one does for Egypt what top and tail, palm and reed used to do.	15 Y no le sale bien a Egipto empresa alguna que haga la cabeza o la cola, la palmera o el junco.
16 That day Egypt will be like women, trembling and terrified at the threatening hand of Yahweh Sabaoth,when he raises it against her.	16 Aquel día será Egipto como las mujeres. Temblará y se espantará cada vez que Yahveh Sebaot menee su mano contra él.
17 The land of Judah will become Egypt's shame; whenever she is reminded of it, she wil be terrified,because of the plan which Yahweh Sabaoth has laid against her.	17 El territorio de Judá será la afrenta de Egipto: cada vez que se lo mienten, se espantará ante los planes que Yahveh Sebaot está trazando contra él.
18 That day in Egypt there wil be five towns speaking the language of Canaan and pledging themselvesto Yahweh Sabaoth; one of them will be cal ed City of the Sun.	18 Aquel día habrá cinco ciudades en tierra de Egipto que hablarán la lengua de Canaán y que jurarán por Yahveh Sebaot: Ir Haheres se llamará una de ellas.
19 That day there wil be an altar dedicated to Yahweh in the centre of Egypt and, close to the frontier, apil ar dedicated to Yahweh,	19 Aquel día habrá un altar de Yahveh en medio del país de Egipto y una estela de Yahveh junto a su frontera.
20 and this will be a sign and a witness to Yahweh Sabaoth in Egypt. When they cry to Yahweh for helpbecause of oppressors, he wil send them a Saviour and leader to deliver them.	20 Estará como señal y testimonio de Yahveh Sebaot en el país de Egipto. Cuando clamen a Yahveh a causa de los opresores, les enviará un libertador que los defenderá y librará.
21 Yahweh will reveal himself to Egypt, and the Egyptians wil acknowledge Yahweh that day and wiloffer sacrifices and cereal offerings, and wil make vows to Yahweh and perform them.	21 Será conocido Yahveh de Egipto, y conocerá Egipto a Yahveh aquel día, le servirán con sacrificio y ofrenda, harán votos a Yahveh y los cumplirán.
22 And if Yahweh strikes Egypt, having struck he wil heal, and they wil turn to Yahweh who wil heartheir prayers and heal them.	22 Yahveh herirá a Egipto, pero al punto le curará. Se convertirán a Yahveh, y él será propicio y los curará.
23 That day there wil be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. Assyria will have access to Egypt and Egypthave access to Assyria. Egypt wil serve with Assyria.	23 Aquel día habrá una calzada desde Egipto a Asiria. Vendrá Asur a Egipto y Egipto a Asiria, y Egipto servirá a Asur.
24 That day Israel will make a third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing at the centre of the world,	24 Aquel día será Israel tercero con Egipto y Asur, objeto de bendición en medio de la tierra,
25 and Yahweh Sabaoth wil bless them in the words, 'Blessed be my people Egypt, Assyria my creation,and Israel my heritage.'	25 pues le bendecirá Yahveh Sebaot diciendo: «Bendito sea mi pueblo Egipto, la obra de mis manos Asur, y mi heredad Israel».
