Psalms 96

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Sing a new song to Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh, al the earth!	1 Cantate Domino canticum novum, cantate Domino, omnis terra.
2 Sing to Yahweh, bless his name! Proclaim his salvation day after day,	2 Cantate Domino, benedicite nomini eius, annuntiate de die in diem salutare eius.
3 declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	3 Annuntiate inter gentes gloriam eius, in omnibus populis mirabilia eius.
4 Great is Yahweh, worthy of al praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	4 Quoniam magnus Dominus et laudabilis nimis, terribilis est super omnes deos.
5 Al the gods of the nations are idols! It was Yahweh who made the heavens;	5 Quoniam omnes dii gentium inania, Dominus autem caelos fecit.
6 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary power and beauty.	6 Magnificentia et pulchritudo in conspectu eius, potentia et decor in sanctuario eius.
7 Give to Yahweh, families of nations, give to Yahweh glory and power,	7 Afferte Domino, familiae populorum, afferte Domino gloriam et potentiam,
8 give to Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts,	8 afferte Domino gloriam nominis eius. Tollite hostias et introite in atria eius,
9 adore Yahweh in the splendour of his holiness. Tremble before him, al the earth.	9 adorate Dominum in splendore sancto. Contremiscite a facie eius, universa terra;
10 Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king.' The world is set firm, it cannot be moved. He wil judge thenations with justice.	10 dicite in gentibus: “ Dominus regnavit! ”. Etenim correxit orbem terrae, qui non commovebitur; iudicabit populos in aequitate.
11 Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Let the sea thunder, and al it holds!	11 Laetentur caeli, et exsultet terra, sonet mare et plenitudo eius;
12 Let the countryside exult, and al that is in it, and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy,	12 gaudebunt campi et omnia, quae in eis sunt. Tunc exsultabunt omnia ligna silvarum
13 at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming, coming to judge the earth; he will judge the world withsaving justice, and the nations with constancy.	13 a facie Domini, quia venit, quoniam venit iudicare terram. Iudicabit orbem terrae in iustitia et populos in veritate sua.
