¹ [Of the sons of Korah Psalm Song] With its foundations on the holy mountains,	¹ Filiorum Core. Psalmus. Canticum. Fundamenta eius in montibus sanctis;
² Yahweh loves his city, he prefers the gates of Zion to any dwel ing-place in Jacob.	² diligit Dominus portas Sion super omnia tabernacula Iacob.
³ He speaks of glory for you, city of God,Pause	³ Gloriosa dicta sunt de te, civitas Dei! -
⁴ 'I number Rahab and Babylon among those that acknowledge me; look at Tyre, Philistia, Ethiopia, soand so was born there.'	⁴ Memor ero Rahab et Babylonis inter scientes me; ecce Philistaea et Tyrus cum Aethiopia: hi nati sunt illic.
⁵ But of Zion it wil be said, 'Every one was born there,' her guarantee is the Most High.	⁵ Et de Sion dicetur: “ Hic et ille natus est in ea; et ipse firmavit eam Altissimus ”.
