1 [Prayer Of David] Listen to me, Yahweh, answer me, for I am poor and needy.	1 Dávid imádsága. Hajtsd hozzám, Uram, füledet, hallgass meg, mert nyomorult és szegény vagyok.
2 Guard me, for I am faithful, save your servant who relies on you. You are my God,	2 Őrizd meg életem, mert kedves vagyok előtted; Mentsd meg, Istenem, szolgádat, aki benned bízik.
3 take pity on me, Lord, for to you I cry al the day.	3 Könyörülj rajtam, Uram, mert hozzád kiáltok egész nap!
4 Fil your servant's heart with joy, Lord, for to you I raise up my heart.	4 Örvendeztesd meg szolgádat, mert hozzád emelem, Uram, lelkemet.
5 Lord, you are kind and forgiving, rich in faithful love for al who cal upon you.	5 Mert te, Uram, jóságos vagy és szelíd, nagy irgalmú mindazokhoz, akik téged segítségül hívnak.
6 Yahweh, hear my prayer, listen to the sound of my pleading.	6 Figyelj, Uram, imádságomra, hallgass könyörgésem szavára!
7 In my day of distress I cal upon you, because you answer me, Lord;	7 Hozzád kiáltok szorongatásom idején, mert te meghallgatsz engem.
8 among the gods there is none to compare with you, no great deeds to compare with yours.	8 Uram, nincs az istenek közt tehozzád hasonló, semmi sem fogható a te műveidhez.
9 Al nations wil come and adore you, Lord, and give glory to your name.	9 A nemzetek, amelyeket alkottál, mindnyájan eljönnek, leborulnak előtted, Uram és dicsőítik nevedet,
10 For you are great and do marvel ous deeds, you, God, and none other.	10 mert nagy vagy te és csodákat művelsz: egyedül te vagy Isten.
11 Teach me, Yahweh, your ways, that I may not stray from your loyalty; let my heart's one aim be tofear your name.	11 Uram, vezess engem utadon, hogy igazságodban járjak; Szívemet tedd egyszerűvé, hogy félje nevedet.
12 I thank you with al my heart, Lord my God, I wil glorify your name for ever,	12 Teljes szívemből dicsérlek, Uram, én Istenem, és mindörökké magasztalom nevedet,
13 for your faithful love for me is so great that you have rescued me from the depths of Sheol.	13 mert nagy a te irgalmad irántam, kiragadtad lelkemet az alvilág mélyéből.
14 Arrogant men, God, are rising up against me, a brutal gang is after my life, in their scheme of thingsyou have no place.	14 Isten, gonoszok keltek fel ellenem és erőszakosak serege tör életemre, és nem vesznek figyelembe téged.
15 But you, Lord, God of tenderness and mercy, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and loyalty,	15 De te, Uram, könyörületes és irgalmas Isten vagy, türelmes, nagy irgalmú és igaz.
16 turn to me and pity me. Give to your servant your strength, to the child of your servant your savinghelp,	16 Tekints rám, könyörülj rajtam, add szolgádnak erődet, szabadítsd meg szolgálód fiát.
17 give me a sign of your kindness.	17 Add jelét rajtam jóságodnak, hogy gyűlölőim lássák, és szégyent valljanak, minthogy te, Uram, megsegítesz és megvigasztalsz engem.
18 My enemies wil see to their shame that you, Yahweh, help and console me.
