1 [For the choirmaster On the . . . of Gath Of the sons of Korah Psalm] How lovely are your dwel ing-places, Yahweh Sabaoth.	1 Ai figliuoli di Core, salmo. Signore, tu hai voluto bene alla tua terra, tu hai tolta la schiavitù di Giacobbe.
2 My whole being yearns and pines for Yahweh's courts, My heart and my body cry out for joy to theliving God.	2 Tu hai rimessi i peccati del popol tuo: hai ricoperti tutti i loro peccati.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, the swal ow a nest to place its young: your altars, YahwehSabaoth, my King and my God.	3 Hai raddolcito tutto il tuo sdegno: hai sedato il furore di tua indignazione.
4 How blessed are those who live in your house; they shall praise you continual y. Pause	4 Convertici, o Dio nostro Salvatore, e rimovi da noi l'ira tua.
5 Blessed those who find their strength in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.	5 Sarai tu irato con noi in eterno? o prolungherai l'ira tua di generazione in generazione?
6 As they pass through the Val ey of the Balsam, they make there a water-hole, and -- a further blessing-- early rain fil s it.	6 O Dio, tu volgendoti a noi ci renderai la vita: e il popol tuo in te si rallegrerà.
7 They make their way from height to height, God shows himself to them in Zion.	7 Fa vedere a noi, o Signore, la tua misericordia, e da a noi la tua salute.
8 Yahweh, God Sabaoth, hear my prayer, listen, God of Jacob.	8 Fa ch'io ascolti quello, che meco parlerà il Signore Dio, perocché egli parlerà di pace col popol suo,
9 God, our shield, look, and see the face of your anointed.	9 E co' suoi santi, e con quelli, che al cuor loro ritornano.
10 Better one day in your courts than a thousand at my own devices, to stand on the threshold of God'shouse than to live in the tents of the wicked.	10 Certamente la salute di lui è vicina a color, che lo temono: e abiterà nella nostra terra la gloria.
11 For Yahweh God is a rampart and shield, he gives grace and glory; Yahweh refuses nothing good tothose whose life is blameless.	11 La misericordia, e la verità si sono incontrate insieme: si son dato il bacio la giustizia, e la pace.
12 Yahweh Sabaoth, blessed is he who trusts in you.	12 La verità spuntò dalla terra, e dal cielo ci ha mirati la giustizia.
	13 Perocché darà il Signore la sua benignità, e la nostra terra produrrà il suo frutto.
	14 La giustizia camminerà dinanzi a lui, e porrà nella retta strada i suoi passi.
