2 My whole being yearns and pines for Yahweh's courts, My heart and my body cry out for joy to theliving God.	2 Wie liebenswert ist deine Wohnung, Herr der Heerscharen!
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, the swal ow a nest to place its young: your altars, YahwehSabaoth, my King and my God.	3 Meine Seele verzehrt sich in Sehnsucht nach dem Tempel des Herrn. Mein Herz und mein Leib jauchzen ihm zu, ihm, dem lebendigen Gott.
4 How blessed are those who live in your house; they shall praise you continual y. Pause	4 Auch der Sperling findet ein Haus und die Schwalbe ein Nest für ihre Jungen - deine Altäre, Herr der Heerscharen, mein Gott und mein König.
5 Blessed those who find their strength in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.	5 Wohl denen, die wohnen in deinem Haus, die dich allezeit loben. [Sela]
6 As they pass through the Val ey of the Balsam, they make there a water-hole, and -- a further blessing-- early rain fil s it.	6 Wohl den Menschen, die Kraft finden in dir, wenn sie sich zur Wallfahrt rüsten.
7 They make their way from height to height, God shows himself to them in Zion.	7 Ziehen sie durch das trostlose Tal, wird es für sie zum Quellgrund und Frühregen hüllt es in Segen.
8 Yahweh, God Sabaoth, hear my prayer, listen, God of Jacob.	8 Sie schreiten dahin mit wachsender Kraft; dann schauen sie Gott auf dem Zion.
9 God, our shield, look, and see the face of your anointed.	9 Herr der Heerscharen, höre mein Beten, vernimm es, Gott Jakobs! [Sela]
10 Better one day in your courts than a thousand at my own devices, to stand on the threshold of God'shouse than to live in the tents of the wicked.	10 Gott, sieh her auf unsern Schild, schau auf das Antlitz deines Gesalbten!
11 For Yahweh God is a rampart and shield, he gives grace and glory; Yahweh refuses nothing good tothose whose life is blameless.	11 Denn ein einziger Tag in den Vorhöfen deines Heiligtums ist besser als tausend andere.Lieber an der Schwelle stehen im Haus meines Gottes als wohnen in den Zelten der Frevler.
12 Yahweh Sabaoth, blessed is he who trusts in you.	12 Denn Gott der Herr ist Sonne und Schild. Er schenkt Gnade und Herrlichkeit; der Herr versagt denen, die rechtschaffen sind, keine Gabe.
