² You made the earth tremble, split it open; now mend the rifts, it is tottering stil .	² Quando uscì contro Aram Naharàim e contro Aram Soba e quando Ioab, nel ritorno, sconfisse gli Edomiti nella valle del Sale: dodicimila uomini.
³ You have forced your people to drink a bitter draught, forced us to drink a wine that made us reel.	³ Dio, tu ci hai respinti, ci hai messi in rotta,ti sei sdegnato: ritorna a noi.
⁴ You gave a signal to those who fear you to let them escape out of range of the bow.Pause	⁴ Hai fatto tremare la terra, l’hai squarciata:risana le sue crepe, perché essa vacilla.
⁵ To rescue those you love, save with your right hand and answer us.	⁵ Hai messo a dura prova il tuo popolo,ci hai fatto bere vino che stordisce.
⁶ God has spoken from his sanctuary, 'In triumph I wil divide up Shechem, and share out the Valley ofSuccoth.	⁶ Hai dato un segnale a quelli che ti temono,perché fuggano lontano dagli archi.
⁷ 'Mine is Gilead, mine Manasseh, Ephraim the helmet on my head, Judah my commander's baton,	⁷ Perché siano liberati i tuoi amici,salvaci con la tua destra e rispondici!
⁸ 'Moab a bowl for me to wash in, on Edom I plant my sandal. Now try shouting "Victory!" over me,Philistia!'	⁸ Dio ha parlato nel suo santuario:«Esulto e divido Sichem,spartisco la valle di Succot.
⁹ Who wil lead me against a fortified city, who wil guide me into Edom,	⁹ Mio è Gàlaad, mio è Manasse,Èfraim è l’elmo del mio capo,Giuda lo scettro del mio comando.
¹⁰ if not you, the God who has rejected us? God, you no longer march with our armies.	¹⁰ Moab è il catino per lavarmi,su Edom getterò i miei sandali,il mio grido di vittoria sulla Filistea!».
¹¹ Bring us help in our time of crisis, any human help is worthless.	¹¹ Chi mi condurrà alla città fortificata,chi potrà guidarmi fino al paese di Edom,
¹² With God we shal do deeds of valour, he wil trample down our enemies.	¹² se non tu, o Dio, che ci hai respintie più non esci, o Dio, con le nostre schiere?
	¹³ Nell’oppressione vieni in nostro aiuto,perché vana è la salvezza dell’uomo.
	¹⁴ Con Dio noi faremo prodezze,egli calpesterà i nostri nemici.
