Psalms 35

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 [Of David] Accuse my accusers, Yahweh, attack my attackers.	1 De Davi. Lutai, Senhor, contra os que me atacam; combatei meus adversários.
2 Grasp your buckler and shield, up, and help me.	2 Empunhai o broquel e o escudo, e erguei-vos em meu socorro.
3 Brandish spear and pike to confront my pursuers, give me the assurance, 'I am your Saviour.'	3 Brandi a lança e sustai meus perseguidores. Dizei à minha alma: Eu sou a tua salvação.
4 Shame and humiliation on those who are out to kil me! Defeat and repulse in dismay on those whoplot my downfal .	4 Sejam confundidos e envergonhados os que odeiam a minha vida, recuem humilhados os que tramam minha desgraça.
5 May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of Yahweh to chase them.	5 Sejam como a palha levada pelo vento, quando o anjo do Senhor vier acossá-los.
6 May their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of Yahweh to hound them.	6 Torne-se tenebroso e escorregadio o seu caminho, quando o anjo do Senhor vier persegui-los,
7 Unprovoked they laid their snare for me, unprovoked dug a trap to kill me.	7 porquanto sem razão me armaram laços; para me perder, cavaram um fosso sem motivo.
8 Ruin comes upon them unawares; the snare they have laid wil catch them, and into their own trapthey will fal .	8 Venha sobre eles de improviso a ruína; apanhe-os a rede por eles mesmos preparada, caiam eles próprios na cova que abriram.
9 Then I shal delight in Yahweh, rejoice that he has saved me.	9 Então a minha alma exultará no Senhor, e se alegrará pelo seu auxílio.
10 My very bones wil al exclaim, Yahweh, who can compare with you in rescuing the poor from theoppressor; the needy from the exploiter?	10 Todas as minhas potências dirão: Senhor, quem é semelhante a vós? Vós que livrais o desvalido do opressor, o mísero e o pobre de quem os despoja.
11 False witnesses come forward against me asking me questions I cannot answer, they cross-examineme,	11 Surgiram apaixonadas testemunhas, interrogaram-me sobre faltas que ignoro,
12 repay my kindness with cruelty, make my life barren.	12 pagaram-me o bem com o mal. Oh, desolação para a minha alma!
13 But I, when they were il , had worn sackcloth, and mortified myself with fasting, praying ever anew inmy heart,	13 Contudo, quando eles adoeciam, eu me revestia de saco, extenuava-me em jejuns e rezava.
14 as if for a friend or brother; I had wandered restless, as if mourning a mother, so bowed had I been insorrow.	14 Andava triste, como se tivesse perdido um amigo, um irmão; abatido, me vergava como quem chora por sua mãe.
15 When I stumble they gather in glee, gather around me; strangers I never even knew tear me apartincessantly.	15 Quando tropecei, eles se reuniram para se alegrar; eles me dilaceraram sem parar.
16 If I fal they surround me, grinding their teeth at me.	16 Puseram-me à prova, escarneceram de mim, rangeram os dentes contra mim.
17 How much longer, Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their onslaughts, from young lions rescuethe one life that I have.	17 Senhor, até quando assistireis impassível a este espetáculo? Arrancai desses leões a minha vida, livrai-me a alma de seus rugidos.
18 I wil give you thanks in the great assembly praise you where the people gather.	18 Vou render-vos graças publicamente, eu vos louvarei na presença da multidão.
19 Let not my lying enemies gloat over me; those who hate me unprovoked look askance at me.	19 Não se regozijem de mim meus pérfidos inimigos, nem tramem com os olhos os que me odeiam sem motivo,
20 They have no greeting of peace to the peace-loving people of the land; they think up deceptivespeeches.	20 pois nunca têm palavras de paz: e armam ciladas contra a gente tranqüila da terra,
21 Their mouths wide open to accuse me, they say, 'Come on now, we saw you.'	21 escancaram para mim a boca, dizendo: Ah! Ah! Com os nossos olhos, nós o vimos!
22 You saw it, Yahweh, do not stay silent; Lord, do not stand aloof from me.	22 Vós também, Senhor, vistes! Não guardeis silêncio. Senhor, não vos aparteis de mim.
23 Up, awake, to my defence, my God and my Lord, to my cause.	23 Acordai e levantai-vos para me defender, ó meu Deus e Senhor meu, em prol de minha causa!
24 In your saving justice give judgement for me, Yahweh my God, and do not let them gloat over me.	24 Julgai-me, Senhor, segundo vossa justiça. Ó meu Deus, que não se regozijem à minha custa!
25 Do not let them think, 'Just as we hoped,' nor, 'Now we have swal owed him up.'	25 Não pensem em seus corações: Ah, tivemos sorte! Não digam: Nós o devoramos!
26 Shame and dismay on them al who gloat over my misfortunes. Let al who profit at my expense becovered with shame and disgrace.	26 Sejam confundidos todos juntos e se envergonhem os que se alegram com meus males, cubram-se de pejo e ignomínia os que se levantam orgulhosamente contra mim.
27 But let al who delight in my uprightness shout for joy and gladness; let them constantly say, 'Great isYahweh, who delights to see his servant in peace.'	27 Mas exultem e se alegrem os favoráveis à minha causa e digam sem cessar: Glorificado seja o Senhor, que quis a salvação de seu servo!
28 And my tongue shal recount your saving justice, al day long sing your praise.	28 E a minha língua proclamará vossa justiça, dando-vos perpétuos louvores.
