Psalms 35

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Of David] Accuse my accusers, Yahweh, attack my attackers.	1 De David. Combate, Señor, a los que me atacan, pelea contra los que me hacen la guerra.
2 Grasp your buckler and shield, up, and help me.	2 Toma el escudo y el broquel, levántate y ven en mi ayuda;
3 Brandish spear and pike to confront my pursuers, give me the assurance, 'I am your Saviour.'	3 empuña la lanza y la jabalina para enfrentar a mis perseguidores; dime: «Yo soy tu salvación».
4 Shame and humiliation on those who are out to kil me! Defeat and repulse in dismay on those whoplot my downfal .	4 Que sufran una derrota humillante los que intentan quitarme la vida; que vuelvan la espalda confundidos los que traman mi perdición.
5 May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of Yahweh to chase them.	5 Que sean como la paja ante el viento, mientras el Angel del Señor los arrastra;
6 May their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of Yahweh to hound them.	6 que su camino sea oscuro y resbaladizo, mientras el Angel del Señor los persigue.
7 Unprovoked they laid their snare for me, unprovoked dug a trap to kill me.	7 Porque me tendieron sus redes sin motivo y me cavaron una fosa mortal:
8 Ruin comes upon them unawares; the snare they have laid wil catch them, and into their own trapthey will fal .	8 ¡que los sorprenda un desastre imprevisto; que sean atrapados por sus propias redes, y caigan en la fosa que ellos mismos cavaron!
9 Then I shal delight in Yahweh, rejoice that he has saved me.	9 Pero yo me alegraré en el Señor, me regocijaré por su victoria;
10 My very bones wil al exclaim, Yahweh, who can compare with you in rescuing the poor from theoppressor; the needy from the exploiter?	10 todo mi ser proclamará: «Señor, no hay nadie igual a ti; tú libras al débil de las manos del más fuerte, y al pobre, de aquel que lo despoja».
11 False witnesses come forward against me asking me questions I cannot answer, they cross-examineme,	11 Se presentan contra mí testigos falsos; me piden cuenta de cosas que ignoro;
12 repay my kindness with cruelty, make my life barren.	12 me devuelven mal por bien, dejando mi alma desolada.
13 But I, when they were il , had worn sackcloth, and mortified myself with fasting, praying ever anew inmy heart,	13 Yo, en cambio, cuando ellos estaban enfermos, me cubría con ropas de penitente, afligía mi alma con ayunos y oraba con la cabeza inclinada.
14 as if for a friend or brother; I had wandered restless, as if mourning a mother, so bowed had I been insorrow.	14 Ellos eran para mí como un amigo o un hermano, y yo andaba triste y abatido, como quien llora la muerte de su madre.
15 When I stumble they gather in glee, gather around me; strangers I never even knew tear me apartincessantly.	15 Pero cuando tropecé ellos se alegraron, se juntaron todos contra mí y me golpearon sorpresivamente; me desgarraban sin cesar,
16 If I fal they surround me, grinding their teeth at me.	16 se burlaban de mí con crueldad y rechinaban contra mí sus dientes.
17 How much longer, Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their onslaughts, from young lions rescuethe one life that I have.	17 Señor, ¿cuánto tiempo vas a tolerarlo? Líbrame de los animales rugientes, salva mi vida de los leones;
18 I wil give you thanks in the great assembly praise you where the people gather.	18 y te daré gracias en la gran asamblea, te alabaré en medio de una multitud.
19 Let not my lying enemies gloat over me; those who hate me unprovoked look askance at me.	19 ¡Que no canten victoria mis enemigos traicioneros, ni se guiñen el ojo los que me odian sin motivo!
20 They have no greeting of peace to the peace-loving people of the land; they think up deceptivespeeches.	20 Ellos no hablan de paz, sino que atacan a los oprimidos de la tierra; traman planes engañosos
21 Their mouths wide open to accuse me, they say, 'Come on now, we saw you.'	21 y se ríen de mí a carcajadas, diciendo: «Lo hemos visto con nuestros propios ojos».
22 You saw it, Yahweh, do not stay silent; Lord, do not stand aloof from me.	22 Tú también lo has visto, Señor, no te calles; no te quedes lejos de mí, Señor;
23 Up, awake, to my defence, my God and my Lord, to my cause.	23 ¡despiértate, levántate, Dios mío, Señor mío, defiende mi causa!
24 In your saving justice give judgement for me, Yahweh my God, and do not let them gloat over me.	24 Júzgame según tu justicia, Señor; Dios mío, que no canten victoria sobre mí;
25 Do not let them think, 'Just as we hoped,' nor, 'Now we have swal owed him up.'	25 que no piensen: «Se cumplió nuestro deseo», ni digan: «Lo hemos devorado».
26 Shame and dismay on them al who gloat over my misfortunes. Let al who profit at my expense becovered with shame and disgrace.	26 Que sufran una derrota humillante los que se alegran de mi desgracia; que se cubran de confusión y de vergüenza los que se envalentonan contra mí.
27 But let al who delight in my uprightness shout for joy and gladness; let them constantly say, 'Great isYahweh, who delights to see his servant in peace.'	27 Canten, en cambio, y alégrense, los que desean mi triunfo; los que desean mi felicidad, repitan siempre: «¡Qué grande es el Señor que en la paz de su siervo se complace!».
28 And my tongue shal recount your saving justice, al day long sing your praise.	28 Entonces mi lengua pregonará tu justicia, y cada día proclamaré tu alabanza.
