Psalms 27

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Of David] Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life,whom should I dread?	1 De David. El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación, ¿a quién temeré? El Señor es el baluarte de mi vida, ¿ante quién temblaré?
2 When the wicked advance against me to eat me up, they, my opponents, my enemies, are the oneswho stumble and fal .	2 Cuando se alzaron contra mí los malvados para devorar mi carne, fueron ellos, mis adversarios y enemigos, los que tropezaron y cayeron.
3 Though an army pitch camp against me, my heart wil not fear, though war break out against me, mytrust wil never be shaken.	3 Aunque acampe contra mí un ejército, mi corazón no temerá; aunque estalle una guerra contra mí, no perderé la confianza.
4 One thing I ask of Yahweh, one thing I seek: to dwel in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, toenjoy the sweetness of Yahweh, to seek out his temple.	4 Una sola cosa he pedido al Señor, y esto es lo que quiero: vivir en la Casa del Señor todos los días de mi vida, para gozar de la dulzura del Señor y contemplar su Templo.
5 For he hides me away under his roof on the day of evil, he folds me in the recesses of his tent, setsme high on a rock.	5 Sí, él me cobijará en su Tienda de campaña en el momento del peligro; me ocultará al amparo de su Carpa y me afirmará sobre una roca.
6 Now my head is held high above the enemies who surround me; in his tent I wil offer sacrifices ofacclaim. I wil sing, I wil make music for Yahweh.	6 Por eso tengo erguida mi cabeza frente al enemigo que me hostiga; ofreceré en su Carpa sacrificios jubilosos, y cantaré himnos al Señor.
7 Yahweh, hear my voice as I cry, pity me, answer me!	7 ¡Escucha, Señor, yo te invoco en alta voz, apiádate de mí y respóndeme!
8 Of you my heart has said, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Yahweh, I seek;	8 Mi corazón sabe que dijiste: «Busquen mi rostro». Yo busco tu rostro, Señor,
9 do not turn away from me. Do not thrust aside your servant in anger, without you I am helpless. Neverleave me, never forsake me, God, my Saviour.	9 no lo apartes de mí. No alejes con ira a tu servidor, tú, que eres mi ayuda; no me dejes ni me abandones, mi Dios y mi salvador.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me, Yahweh wil gather me up.	10 Aunque mi padre y mi madre me abandonen, el Señor me recibirá.
11 Yahweh, teach me your way, lead me on the path of integrity because of my enemies;	11 Indícame, Señor, tu camino y guíame por un sendero llano,
12 do not abandon me to the wil of my foes -- false witnesses have risen against me, and are breathingout violence.	12 No me entregues a la furia de mis adversarios, porque se levantan contra mí testigos falsos, hombres que respiran violencia.
13 This I believe: I shal see the goodness of Yahweh, in the land of the living.	13 Yo creo que contemplaré la bondad del Señor en la tierra de los vivientes.
14 Put your hope in Yahweh, be strong, let your heart be bold, put your hope in Yahweh.	14 Espera en el Señor y sé fuerte; ten valor y espera en el Señor.
