Psalms 149

NEW JERUSALEM	VULGATA
1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!	1 Alleluja. Cantate Domino canticum novum ; laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.
2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;	2 Lætetur Israël in eo qui fecit eum, et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.
3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!	3 Laudent nomen ejus in choro ; in tympano et psalterio psallant ei.
4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.	4 Quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo, et exaltabit mansuetos in salutem.
5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,	5 Exsultabunt sancti in gloria ; lætabuntur in cubilibus suis.
6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 Exaltationes Dei in gutture eorum, et gladii ancipites in manibus eorum :
7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 ad faciendam vindictam in nationibus, increpationes in populis ;
8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,	8 ad alligandos reges eorum in compedibus, et nobiles eorum in manicis ferreis ;
9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.	9 ut faciant in eis judicium conscriptum : gloria hæc est omnibus sanctis ejus. Alleluja.
