Psalms 149

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!	1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ שִׁירוּ לַיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתֹו בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים
2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;	2 יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיֹּון יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם
3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!	3 יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמֹו בְמָחֹול בְּתֹף וְכִנֹּור יְזַמְּרוּ־לֹו
4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.	4 כִּי־רֹוצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמֹּו יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה
5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,	5 יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבֹוד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבֹותָם
6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 רֹומְמֹות אֵל בִּגְרֹונָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיֹּות בְּיָדָם
7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 לַעֲשֹׂות נְקָמָה בַּגֹּויִם תֹּוכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּים
8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,	8 לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל
9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.	9 לַעֲשֹׂות בָּהֶם ׀ מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ
