Psalms 149

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!	1 Alleluia. Cantate al Signore un canto nuovo: risuoni la sua lode nell'assemblea dei fedeli.
2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;	2 Gioisca Israele nel suo Creatore, esultino nel loro Re i figli di Sion.
3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!	3 Lodino il suo nome con la danza, a lui con timpano e cetra inneggino.
4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.	4 Poiché il Signore si compiace del suo popolo, incorona gli umili di vittoria.
5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,	5 Esultino i fedeli nella gloria, facciano festa secondo le loro famiglie:
6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 le lodi divine sulla loro bocca e la spada a doppio taglio nella loro mano,
7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 per far vendetta fra le nazioni, punizione fra i popoli;
8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,	8 stringere in catene i loro capi e i loro nobili in ceppi di ferro,
9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.	9 eseguire su di essi la sentenza già scritta: un onore è questo per tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia.
