NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!	1 ALLELUIA. Cantate al Signore un nuovo cantico; Cantate la sua lode nella raunanza de’ santi.
2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;	2 Rallegrisi Israele nel suo Fattore; Festeggino i figliuoli di Sion nel Re loro.
3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!	3 Lodino il suo Nome sul flauto; Salmeggingli col tamburo e colla cetera.
4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.	4 Perciocchè il Signore gradisce il suo popolo; Egli glorificherà i mansueti per la sua salute.
5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,	5 I santi festeggeranno con gloria, Canteranno sopra i lor letti;
6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 Avranno nella lor gola le esaltazioni di Dio, E nelle mani spade a due tagli;
7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 Per far vendetta fra le genti, E castigamenti fra i popoli.
8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,	8 Per legare i loro re con catene, E gli onorati d’infra loro con ceppi di ferro;
9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.	9 Per mandare ad esecuzione sopra loro il giudicio scritto; Il che sarà gloria a tutti i suoi santi. Alleluia
