Psalms 149

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!	1 Aleluia. Cantai ao Senhor um cântico novo, ressoe o seu louvor na assembléia dos fiéis.
2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;	2 Alegre-se Israel em seu criador, exultem em seu rei os filhos de Sião.
3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!	3 Em coros louvem o seu nome, cantem-lhe salmos com o tambor e a cítara,
4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.	4 porque o Senhor ama o seu povo, e dá aos humildes a honra da vitória.
5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,	5 Exultem os fiéis na glória, alegrem-se em seus leitos.
6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 Tenham nos lábios o louvor de Deus, e nas mãos a espada de dois gumes,
7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 para tirar vingança das nações pagãs, e impor castigos aos povos;
8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,	8 para lançar em ferros os seus reis, e pôr algemas em seus príncipes,
9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.	9 executando contra eles o julgamento pronunciado. Tal é a glória reservada a todos os seus fiéis.
