Psalms 148

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.	1 Aleluia. Nos céus, louvai o Senhor, louvai-o nas alturas do firmamento.
2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!	2 Louvai-o, todos os seus anjos. Louvai-o, todos os seus exércitos.
3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,	3 Louvai-o, sol e lua; louvai-o, astros brilhantes.
4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.	4 Louvai-o, céus dos céus, e vós, ó oceanos dos espaços celestes.
5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;	5 Louvem o nome do Senhor, porque ele mandou e tudo foi criado.
6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.	6 Tudo estabeleceu pela eternidade dos séculos; fixou-lhes uma lei que não será violada.
7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,	7 Na terra, louvai o Senhor, cetáceos e todos das profundezas do mar;
8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,	8 fogo e granizo, neve e neblina; vendaval proceloso dócil às suas ordens;
9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,	9 montanhas e colinas, árvores frutíferas, árvores silvestres;
10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,	10 feras e rebanhos, répteis e aves;
11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,	11 reis da terra e todos os seus povos; príncipes e juízes do mundo;
12 young men and girls, old people and children together.	12 jovens e donzelas; velhos e crianças!
13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.	13 Louvem todos o nome do Senhor, porque só o seu nome é excelso. Sua majestade transcende a terra e o céu,
14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.	14 e conferiu a seu povo um grande poder. Louvem-no todos os seus fiéis, filhos de Israel, povo a ele mais chegado.
