Psalms 148

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.	1 ALLELUIA. Lodate il Signore dal cielo; Lodatelo ne’ luoghi altissimi.
2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!	2 Lodatelo voi, suoi Angeli tutti. Lodatelo voi, suoi eserciti.
3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,	3 Lodatelo, sole e luna; Lodatelo voi, stelle lucenti tutte.
4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.	4 Lodatelo voi, cieli de’ cieli; E voi, acque che siete di sopra al cielo.
5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;	5 Tutte queste cose lodino il nome del Signore; Perciocchè al suo comandamento furono create.
6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.	6 Ed egli le ha stabilite per sempre ed in perpetuo; Egli ne ha fatto uno statuto, il qual non trapasserà giammai
7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,	7 Lodate il Signore della terra. Balene, ed abissi tutti;
8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,	8 Fuoco, e gragnuola; neve, e vapore, E vento tempestoso ch’eseguisce la sua parola;
9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,	9 Monti, e colli tutti; Alberi fruttiferi, e cedri tutti;
10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,	10 Fiere, e bestie domestiche tutte; Rettili, ed uccelli alati;
11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,	11 Re della terra, e popoli tutti; Principi, e rettori della terra tutti;
12 young men and girls, old people and children together.	12 Giovani, ed anche vergini; Vecchi, e fanciulli;
13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.	13 Lodino il Nome del Signore; Perciocchè il Nome di lui solo è innalzato; La sua maestà è sopra la terra, e sopra il cielo.
14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.	14 Ed ha alzato un corno al suo popolo, Il che è materia di lode a tutti i suoi santi: A’ figliuoli d’Israele, suo popolo prossimo. Alleluia
