1 [Song of Ascents] I lift up my eyes to the mountains; where is my help to come from?	1 - Cantico de' gradini. Mi rallegrai allor che mi fu detto:«Andremo alla casa del Signore!».
2 My help comes from Yahweh who made heaven and earth.	2 I nostri piedi si son fermati negli atri tuoi, o Gerusalemme!
3 May he save your foot from stumbling; may he, your guardian, not fall asleep!	3 Gerusalemme! riedificata come una città, la cui connessione è compatta.
4 You see -- he neither sleeps nor slumbers, the guardian of Israel.	4 Là salgono le tribù, le tribù del Signore. È legge per Israele di celebrar [colà]il nome del Signore.
5 Yahweh is your guardian, your shade, Yahweh, at your right hand.	5 Perchè ivi son stabiliti i seggi per il giudizio, i seggi per la casa di David.
6 By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.	6 Chiedete quanto arreca pace a Gerusalemme! E abbian prosperità quelli che ti amano.
7 Yahweh guards you from al harm Yahweh guards your life,	7 Sia pace entro i tuoi bastionie prosperità entro le tue torri.
8 Yahweh guards your comings and goings, henceforth and for ever.	8 A motivo dei miei fratelli e de' miei amiciio vo parlando di pace per te.
	9 A motivo della casa del Signore, nostro Dio, io auguro bene a te!
