1 [Song of Ascents] I lift up my eyes to the mountains; where is my help to come from?	1 Cantico dei gradi. Mi son rallegrato di quel, che è stato a me detto: noi anderemo alla casa del Signore.
2 My help comes from Yahweh who made heaven and earth.	2 I nostri piedi si son posati negli atrj tuoi, o Gerusalemme.
3 May he save your foot from stumbling; may he, your guardian, not fall asleep!	3 Gerusalemme, che si edifica come una città, a cui per la concordia si ha parte.
4 You see -- he neither sleeps nor slumbers, the guardian of Israel.	4 Perocché là salirono le tribù, le tribù del Signore, al testimonio di Israele, a lodare il nome del Signore.
5 Yahweh is your guardian, your shade, Yahweh, at your right hand.	5 Perocché ivi furon collocati i troni per giudicare, i troni sopra la casa di Davidde.
6 By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.	6 Domandate voi quelle cose, che sono utili alla pace di Gerusalemme: e (dite): Siano nell'abbondanza color, che ti amano.
7 Yahweh guards you from al harm Yahweh guards your life,	7 Sia la pace nella tua moltitudine: e nelle tue torri sia l'abbondanza.
8 Yahweh guards your comings and goings, henceforth and for ever.	8 Per amore de' miei fratelli, e de' miei propinqui ho io domandata la pace per te.
	9 Per amor della casa del Signore Dio nostro ho desiderato il tuo bene.
