1 [Song of Ascents] I lift up my eyes to the mountains; where is my help to come from?	1 Cantico di Maalot. IO alzo gli occhi a’ monti, Per vedere onde mi verrà aiuto.
2 My help comes from Yahweh who made heaven and earth.	2 Il mio aiuto verrà dal Signore Che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.
3 May he save your foot from stumbling; may he, your guardian, not fall asleep!	3 Egli non permetterà che il tuo piè vacilli; Il tuo Guardiano non sonnecchia.
4 You see -- he neither sleeps nor slumbers, the guardian of Israel.	4 Ecco, il Guardiano d’Israele Non sonnecchia, e non dorme.
5 Yahweh is your guardian, your shade, Yahweh, at your right hand.	5 Il Signore è quel che ti guarda; Il Signore è la tua ombra, egli è alla tua man destra.
6 By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.	6 Di giorno il sole non ti ferirà, Nè la luna di notte.
7 Yahweh guards you from al harm Yahweh guards your life,	7 Il Signore ti guarderà d’ogni male; Egli guarderà l’anima tua.
8 Yahweh guards your comings and goings, henceforth and for ever.	8 Il Signore guarderà la tua uscita e la tua entrata, Da ora, e fino in eterno
