NEW JERUSALEM	Pattloch Bibel
1 How blessed is anyone who rejects the advice of the wicked and does not take a stand in the path that sinners tread, nor a seat in company with cynics,	1 Selig der Mann, der nicht im Rat der Gottlosen wandelt, sich nicht auf den Pfad der Sünder stellt noch im Kreise der Lästerer sitzt,
2 but who delights in the law of Yahweh and murmurs his law day and night.	2 vielmehr am Gesetz des Herrn seine Freude hat, ja, sein Gesetz betrachtet bei Tag und bei Nacht!
3 Such a one is like a tree planted near streams; it bears fruit in season and its leaves never wither, and every project succeeds.	3 Er gleicht dem Baum, gepflanzt an strömendem Wasser, der seine Früchte trägt zur rechten Zeit und dessen Laub nicht welkt. Was immer er beginnt, vollführt er glücklich
4 How different the wicked, how different! Just like chaff blown around by the wind	4 Nicht so die Frevler! Wie Spreu sind sie, die der Wind verweht.
5 the wicked will not stand firm at the Judgement nor sinners in the gathering of the upright.	5 Darum bestehen Gottlose nicht im Gericht noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten.
6 For Yahweh watches over the path of the upright, but the path of the wicked is doomed.	6 Denn der Herr weiß um den Weg der Gerechten; doch der Gottlosen Weg führt ins Verderben.
