Psalms 1

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 How blessed is anyone who rejects the advice of the wicked and does not take a stand in the path that sinners tread, nor a seat in company with cynics,	1 Heureux l'homme qui ne suit pas le conseil des impies, ni dans la voie des égarés ne s'arrête, ni ausiège des rieurs ne s'assied,
2 but who delights in the law of Yahweh and murmurs his law day and night.	2 mais se plaît dans la loi de Yahvé, mais murmure sa loi jour et nuit!
3 Such a one is like a tree planted near streams; it bears fruit in season and its leaves never wither, and every project succeeds.	3 Il est comme un arbre planté auprès des cours d'eau; celui-là portera fruit en son temps et jamais sonfeuillage ne sèche; tout ce qu'il fait réussit:
4 How different the wicked, how different! Just like chaff blown around by the wind	4 rien de tel pour les impies, rien de tel! Mais ils sont comme la bale qu'emporte le vent.
5 the wicked will not stand firm at the Judgement nor sinners in the gathering of the upright.	5 Ainsi, les impies ne tiendront pas au Jugement, ni les égarés, à l'assemblée des justes.
6 For Yahweh watches over the path of the upright, but the path of the wicked is doomed.	6 Car Yahvé connaît la voie des justes, mais la voie des impies se perd.
