NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 How blessed is anyone who rejects the advice of the wicked and does not take a stand in the path that sinners tread, nor a seat in company with cynics,	1 Beato l'uomo che non camminò nel consiglio degli empi e nella via dei peccatori non si fermò e nel consesso dei beffardi non s'assise;
2 but who delights in the law of Yahweh and murmurs his law day and night.	2 ma nella legge del Signore è la sua gioia e in essa medita giorno e notte.
3 Such a one is like a tree planted near streams; it bears fruit in season and its leaves never wither, and every project succeeds.	3 Perciò sarà come un albero che su rivi d'acqua è piantato, che dà i suoi frutti ad ogni stagione, le cui foglie mai appassiscono: in ogni cosa che fa ha sempre successo.
4 How different the wicked, how different! Just like chaff blown around by the wind	4 Non così gli empi: essi al contrario saranno come pula che il vento sospinge.
5 the wicked will not stand firm at the Judgement nor sinners in the gathering of the upright.	5 Per questo non entreranno gli empi nel giudizio, né i peccatori nell'assemblea dei giusti,
6 For Yahweh watches over the path of the upright, but the path of the wicked is doomed.	6 Il Signore conosce la via dei giusti. mentre la via degli empi andrà in rovina.
