Psalms 1

NEW JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 How blessed is anyone who rejects the advice of the wicked and does not take a stand in the path that sinners tread, nor a seat in company with cynics,	1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 but who delights in the law of Yahweh and murmurs his law day and night.	2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 Such a one is like a tree planted near streams; it bears fruit in season and its leaves never wither, and every project succeeds.	3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 How different the wicked, how different! Just like chaff blown around by the wind	4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 the wicked will not stand firm at the Judgement nor sinners in the gathering of the upright.	5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For Yahweh watches over the path of the upright, but the path of the wicked is doomed.	6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
