Exodus 35

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Moses assembled the whole community of Israelites and said, 'These are the things Yahweh hasordered to be done:	1 Igitur, congregato omni coetu filiorum Israel, dixit ad eos: “ Haec sunt, quae iussit Dominus fieri:
2 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh must be a holy day for you, a day of complete rest, inhonour of Yahweh. Anyone who does any work on that day wil be put to death.	2 sex diebus facietis opus, septimus dies erit vobis sanctus, sabbatum et requies Domino; qui fecerit opus in eo, occidetur.
3 You will not light a fire on the Sabbath day in any of your homes.'	3 Non succendetis ignem in omnibus habitaculis vestris per diem sabbati ”.
4 Moses spoke to the whole community of Israelites. 'This', he said, 'is what Yahweh has ordered:	4 Et ait Moyses ad omnem coetum filiorum Israel: “ Iste est sermo, quem praecepit Dominus dicens:
5 Set aside a contribution for Yahweh out of your possessions. Everyone whose heart prompts him to doso should bring a contribution for Yahweh: gold, silver and bronze;	5 "Separate apud vos donaria Domino". Omnis voluntarius et proni animi offerat ea Domino: aurum et argentum et aes,
6 materials dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, finely woven linen, goats' hair,	6 hyacinthum et purpuram coccumque et byssum, pilos caprarum
7 rams' skins dyed red, fine leather, acacia wood,	7 et pelles arietum rubricatas et pelles delphini, ligna acaciae
8 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;	8 et oleum ad luminaria concinnanda et aromata, ut conficiatur unguentum et thymiama suavissimum,
9 cornelian and other stones to be set in the ephod and breastplate.	9 lapides onychinos et gemmas ad ornatum ephod et pectoralis.
10 And al those of you who have the skil must come and make everything that Yahweh has ordered:	10 Quisquis vestrum sapiens est, veniat et faciat, quod Dominus imperavit,
11 the Dwel ing, its tent and its covering, its clasps and its frames, its crossbars, its pillars and itssockets;	11 habitaculum scilicet et tentorium eius atque operimentum, fibulas et tabulata cum vectibus, columnas et bases;
12 the ark, its shafts and al its accessories, the mercy-seat and the screening curtain;	12 arcam et vectes, propitiatorium et velum, quod ante illud oppanditur;
13 the table, its shafts and al its accessories, and the loaves of permanent offering;	13 mensam cum vectibus et vasis et propositionis panibus;
14 the lamp-stand for the light, its accessories, its lamps, and the oil for the light;	14 candelabrum ad luminaria sustentanda, vasa illius et lucernas et oleum ad nutrimenta luminarium;
15 the altar of incense and its shafts, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the screen for theentrance, for the entrance of the tent;	15 altare thymiamatis et vectes et oleum unctionis et thymiama ex aromatibus; velum ad ostium habitaculi;
16 the altar of burnt offerings and its bronze grating, its shafts, and all its accessories; the basin and itsstand;	16 altare holocausti et craticulam eius aeneam cum vectibus et vasis suis, labrum et basim eius;
17 the curtaining for the court, its poles, its sockets, and the screen for the entrance to the court;	17 cortinas atrii cum columnis et basibus, velum in foribus atrii;
18 the pegs for the Dwel ing and the pegs for the court, and their cords;	18 paxillos habitaculi et atrii cum funiculis suis;
19 the liturgical vestments for service in the sanctuary -- the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, andthe vestments for his sons, for their priestly functions.'	19 vestimenta texta, quorum usus est in ministerio sanctuarii, vestes sanctas Aaron pontificis ac vestes filiorum eius, ut sacerdotio fungantur mihi ”.
20 The whole community of Israelites then withdrew from Moses' presence.	20 Egressus est omnis coetus filiorum Israel de conspectu Moysi,
21 And al those whose heart stirred them and al those whose spirit prompted them brought acontribution for Yahweh, for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for its general service and for the sacredvestments.	21 et venit, quisquis erat mentis promptissimae, et attulit sponte sua donaria Domino ad faciendum opus tabernaculi conventus et quidquid ad cultum et ad vestes sanctas necessarium erat.
22 Men and women, they came, al those whose heart prompted them, bringing brooches, rings,bracelets, necklaces, golden objects of every kind -- all those who had vowed gold to Yahweh,	22 Viri cum mulieribus, omnes voluntarii praebuerunt fibulas et inaures, anulos et dextralia; omne vas aureum in donaria Domini separatum est.
23 while al those who happened to own violet-purple, red-purple or crimson materials, finely wovenlinen, goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, or fine leather, brought that.	23 Si quis habebat hyacinthum et purpuram coccumque, byssum et pilos caprarum, pelles arietum rubricatas et pelles delphini,
24 Al those offering a contribution of silver or bronze brought their contribution for Yahweh and al whohappened to own acacia wood, suitable for any of the work to be done, brought that.	24 argenti aerisque metalla, obtulerunt Domino lignaque acaciae in varios usus.
25 Al the skil ed women set their hands to spinning, and brought what they had spun: violet-purple, red-purple or crimson materials, and fine linen,	25 Sed et mulieres eruditae dederunt, quae neverant, hyacinthum, purpuram et coccum ac byssum
26 while al those women whose heart stirred them by virtue of their skil , spun goats' hair.	26 et pilos caprarum, sponte propria cuncta tribuentes.
27 The leaders brought cornelians and other stones to be set in the ephod and breastplate,	27 Principes vero obtulerunt lapides onychinos et gemmas ad ephod et pectorale
28 and the spices and oil for the light, for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.	28 aromataque et oleum ad luminaria concinnanda et ad praeparandum unguentum ac thymiama odoris suavissimi componendum.
29 Al those Israelites, men and women, whose heart prompted them to contribute to the entire work thatYahweh had ordered through Moses to be done, brought a contribution to Yahweh.	29 Omnes viri et mulieres mente prompta obtulerunt donaria, ut fierent opera, quae iusserat Dominus per manum Moysi. Cuncti filii Israel voluntaria Domino dedicaverunt.
30 Moses then said to the Israelites, 'Look, Yahweh has singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of thetribe of Judah,	30 Dixitque Moyses ad filios Israel: “ Ecce vocavit Dominus ex nomine Beseleel filium Uri filii Hur de tribu Iudae;
31 and has filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:	31 implevitque eum spiritu Dei, sapientia et intellegentia et scientia ad omne opus,
32 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,	32 ad excogitandum et faciendum opus in auro et argento et aere,
33 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.	33 ad scindendum et includendum gemmas et ad sculpendum ligna, quidquid fabre adinveniri potest.
34 And on him and on Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, he has bestowed the gift ofteaching,	34 Dedit quoque in corde eius, ut alios doceret, ipsi et Ooliab filio Achisamech de tribu Dan.
35 and filled them with the skill to carry out every kind of work, that of the engraver, that of theembroiderer, that of the needleworker in violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and fine linen, that of theweaver, and indeed that of every kind of craftsman and designer.'	35 Ambos implevit sapientia, ut faciant opera fabri polymitarii ac plumarii de hyacintho ac purpura coccoque et bysso et textoris, facientes omne opus ac nova quaeque reperientes ”.
