Exodus 35

NEW JERUSALEM	MODERN HEBREW BIBLE
1 Moses assembled the whole community of Israelites and said, 'These are the things Yahweh hasordered to be done:	1 ויקהל משה את כל עדת בני ישראל ויאמר אלהם אלה הדברים אשר צוה יהוה לעשת אתם
2 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh must be a holy day for you, a day of complete rest, inhonour of Yahweh. Anyone who does any work on that day wil be put to death.	2 ששת ימים תעשה מלאכה וביום השביעי יהיה לכם קדש שבת שבתון ליהוה כל העשה בו מלאכה יומת
3 You will not light a fire on the Sabbath day in any of your homes.'	3 לא תבערו אש בכל משבתיכם ביום השבת
4 Moses spoke to the whole community of Israelites. 'This', he said, 'is what Yahweh has ordered:	4 ויאמר משה אל כל עדת בני ישראל לאמר זה הדבר אשר צוה יהוה לאמר
5 Set aside a contribution for Yahweh out of your possessions. Everyone whose heart prompts him to doso should bring a contribution for Yahweh: gold, silver and bronze;	5 קחו מאתכם תרומה ליהוה כל נדיב לבו יביאה את תרומת יהוה זהב וכסף ונחשת
6 materials dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, finely woven linen, goats' hair,	6 ותכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני ושש ועזים
7 rams' skins dyed red, fine leather, acacia wood,	7 וערת אילם מאדמים וערת תחשים ועצי שטים
8 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;	8 ושמן למאור ובשמים לשמן המשחה ולקטרת הסמים
9 cornelian and other stones to be set in the ephod and breastplate.	9 ואבני שהם ואבני מלאים לאפוד ולחשן
10 And al those of you who have the skil must come and make everything that Yahweh has ordered:	10 וכל חכם לב בכם יבאו ויעשו את כל אשר צוה יהוה
11 the Dwel ing, its tent and its covering, its clasps and its frames, its crossbars, its pillars and itssockets;	11 את המשכן את אהלו ואת מכסהו את קרסיו ואת קרשיו את בריחו את עמדיו ואת אדניו
12 the ark, its shafts and al its accessories, the mercy-seat and the screening curtain;	12 את הארן ואת בדיו את הכפרת ואת פרכת המסך
13 the table, its shafts and al its accessories, and the loaves of permanent offering;	13 את השלחן ואת בדיו ואת כל כליו ואת לחם הפנים
14 the lamp-stand for the light, its accessories, its lamps, and the oil for the light;	14 ואת מנרת המאור ואת כליה ואת נרתיה ואת שמן המאור
15 the altar of incense and its shafts, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the screen for theentrance, for the entrance of the tent;	15 ואת מזבח הקטרת ואת בדיו ואת שמן המשחה ואת קטרת הסמים ואת מסך הפתח לפתח המשכן
16 the altar of burnt offerings and its bronze grating, its shafts, and all its accessories; the basin and itsstand;	16 את מזבח העלה ואת מכבר הנחשת אשר לו את בדיו ואת כל כליו את הכיר ואת כנו
17 the curtaining for the court, its poles, its sockets, and the screen for the entrance to the court;	17 את קלעי החצר את עמדיו ואת אדניה ואת מסך שער החצר
18 the pegs for the Dwel ing and the pegs for the court, and their cords;	18 את יתדת המשכן ואת יתדת החצר ואת מיתריהם
19 the liturgical vestments for service in the sanctuary -- the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, andthe vestments for his sons, for their priestly functions.'	19 את בגדי השרד לשרת בקדש את בגדי הקדש לאהרן הכהן ואת בגדי בניו לכהן
20 The whole community of Israelites then withdrew from Moses' presence.	20 ויצאו כל עדת בני ישראל מלפני משה
21 And al those whose heart stirred them and al those whose spirit prompted them brought acontribution for Yahweh, for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for its general service and for the sacredvestments.	21 ויבאו כל איש אשר נשאו לבו וכל אשר נדבה רוחו אתו הביאו את תרומת יהוה למלאכת אהל מועד ולכל עבדתו ולבגדי הקדש
22 Men and women, they came, al those whose heart prompted them, bringing brooches, rings,bracelets, necklaces, golden objects of every kind -- all those who had vowed gold to Yahweh,	22 ויבאו האנשים על הנשים כל נדיב לב הביאו חח ונזם וטבעת וכומז כל כלי זהב וכל איש אשר הניף תנופת זהב ליהוה
23 while al those who happened to own violet-purple, red-purple or crimson materials, finely wovenlinen, goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, or fine leather, brought that.	23 וכל איש אשר נמצא אתו תכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני ושש ועזים וערת אילם מאדמים וערת תחשים הביאו
24 Al those offering a contribution of silver or bronze brought their contribution for Yahweh and al whohappened to own acacia wood, suitable for any of the work to be done, brought that.	24 כל מרים תרומת כסף ונחשת הביאו את תרומת יהוה וכל אשר נמצא אתו עצי שטים לכל מלאכת העבדה הביאו
25 Al the skil ed women set their hands to spinning, and brought what they had spun: violet-purple, red-purple or crimson materials, and fine linen,	25 וכל אשה חכמת לב בידיה טוו ויביאו מטוה את התכלת ואת הארגמן את תולעת השני ואת השש
26 while al those women whose heart stirred them by virtue of their skil , spun goats' hair.	26 וכל הנשים אשר נשא לבן אתנה בחכמה טוו את העזים
27 The leaders brought cornelians and other stones to be set in the ephod and breastplate,	27 והנשאם הביאו את אבני השהם ואת אבני המלאים לאפוד ולחשן
28 and the spices and oil for the light, for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.	28 ואת הבשם ואת השמן למאור ולשמן המשחה ולקטרת הסמים
29 Al those Israelites, men and women, whose heart prompted them to contribute to the entire work thatYahweh had ordered through Moses to be done, brought a contribution to Yahweh.	29 כל איש ואשה אשר נדב לבם אתם להביא לכל המלאכה אשר צוה יהוה לעשות ביד משה הביאו בני ישראל נדבה ליהוה
30 Moses then said to the Israelites, 'Look, Yahweh has singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of thetribe of Judah,	30 ויאמר משה אל בני ישראל ראו קרא יהוה בשם בצלאל בן אורי בן חור למטה יהודה
31 and has filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:	31 וימלא אתו רוח אלהים בחכמה בתבונה ובדעת ובכל מלאכה
32 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,	32 ולחשב מחשבת לעשת בזהב ובכסף ובנחשת
33 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.	33 ובחרשת אבן למלאת ובחרשת עץ לעשות בכל מלאכת מחשבת
34 And on him and on Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, he has bestowed the gift ofteaching,	34 ולהורת נתן בלבו הוא ואהליאב בן אחיסמך למטה דן
35 and filled them with the skill to carry out every kind of work, that of the engraver, that of theembroiderer, that of the needleworker in violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and fine linen, that of theweaver, and indeed that of every kind of craftsman and designer.'	35 מלא אתם חכמת לב לעשות כל מלאכת חרש וחשב ורקם בתכלת ובארגמן בתולעת השני ובשש וארג עשי כל מלאכה וחשבי מחשבת
