1 'You will make an altar on which to burn incense; you wil make it of acacia wood,	1 ועשית מזבח מקטר קטרת עצי שטים תעשה אתו
2 one cubit long, and one cubit wide -- it must be square -- and two cubits high; its horns must be of apiece with it.	2 אמה ארכו ואמה רחבו רבוע יהיה ואמתים קמתו ממנו קרנתיו
3 You will overlay its top, its sides all round and its horns with pure gold and make a gold moulding to goal round.	3 וצפית אתו זהב טהור את גגו ואת קירתיו סביב ואת קרנתיו ועשית לו זר זהב סביב
4 You will make two gold rings for it below the moulding on its two opposite sides, to take the shaftsused for carrying it.	4 ושתי טבעת זהב תעשה לו מתחת לזרו על שתי צלעתיו תעשה על שני צדיו והיה לבתים לבדים לשאת אתו בהמה
5 You will make the shafts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.	5 ועשית את הבדים עצי שטים וצפית אתם זהב
6 'You will put it in front of the curtain by the ark of Testimony, in front of the mercy-seat which is on theTestimony, where I shal meet you.	6 ונתתה אתו לפני הפרכת אשר על ארן העדת לפני הכפרת אשר על העדת אשר אועד לך שמה
7 On it Aaron wil burn fragrant incense each morning; when he trims the lamps, he will burn incense onit;	7 והקטיר עליו אהרן קטרת סמים בבקר בבקר בהיטיבו את הנרת יקטירנה
8 and when Aaron puts back the lamps at twilight, he will burn incense on it, incense perpetual y beforeYahweh for all your generations to come.	8 ובהעלת אהרן את הנרת בין הערבים יקטירנה קטרת תמיד לפני יהוה לדרתיכם
9 You will not offer unauthorised incense, or burnt offering, or cereal offering on it, and you will not pourany libation over it.	9 לא תעלו עליו קטרת זרה ועלה ומנחה ונסך לא תסכו עליו
10 Once a year, Aaron wil perform the rite of expiation on the horns of the altar; once a year, on the Dayof Expiation, with the blood of the sacrifice for sin, he wil make expiation for himself, for al your generations tocome. It is especial y holy for Yahweh.'	10 וכפר אהרן על קרנתיו אחת בשנה מדם חטאת הכפרים אחת בשנה יכפר עליו לדרתיכם קדש קדשים הוא ליהוה
11 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	11 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
12 'When you count the Israelites by census, each one of them must pay Yahweh a ransom for his life,to avoid any incidence of plague among them while you are holding the census.	12 כי תשא את ראש בני ישראל לפקדיהם ונתנו איש כפר נפשו ליהוה בפקד אתם ולא יהיה בהם נגף בפקד אתם
13 Everyone subject to the census wil pay half a shekel, reckoning by the sanctuary shekel: twentygerah to the shekel. This half-shekel will be set aside for Yahweh.	13 זה יתנו כל העבר על הפקדים מחצית השקל בשקל הקדש עשרים גרה השקל מחצית השקל תרומה ליהוה
14 Everyone subject to the census, that is to say of twenty years and over, will pay the sum set aside forYahweh.	14 כל העבר על הפקדים מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה יתן תרומת יהוה
15 The rich man must not give more, nor the poor man less, than half a shekel when he pays the sumset aside for Yahweh in ransom for your lives.	15 העשיר לא ירבה והדל לא ימעיט ממחצית השקל לתת את תרומת יהוה לכפר על נפשתיכם
16 You wil take the ransom money of the Israelites and apply it to the service of the Tent of Meeting, forit to be a reminder of the Israelites before Yahweh, as the ransom for your lives.'	16 ולקחת את כסף הכפרים מאת בני ישראל ונתת אתו על עבדת אהל מועד והיה לבני ישראל לזכרון לפני יהוה לכפר על נפשתיכם
17 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	17 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
18 'You wil also make a bronze basin on its bronze stand, for washing. You wil put it between the Tentof Meeting and the altar and put water in it,	18 ועשית כיור נחשת וכנו נחשת לרחצה ונתת אתו בין אהל מועד ובין המזבח ונתת שמה מים
19 in which Aaron and his sons wil wash their hands and feet.	19 ורחצו אהרן ובניו ממנו את ידיהם ואת רגליהם
20 Whenever they are to enter the Tent of Meeting, they wil wash, to avoid incurring death; andwhenever they approach the altar for their service, to burn an offering for Yahweh,	20 בבאם אל אהל מועד ירחצו מים ולא ימתו או בגשתם אל המזבח לשרת להקטיר אשה ליהוה
21 they wil wash their hands and feet, to avoid incurring death. This is a perpetual decree for him andhis descendants for all their generations to come.'	21 ורחצו ידיהם ורגליהם ולא ימתו והיתה להם חק עולם לו ולזרעו לדרתם
22 Yahweh spoke further to Moses and said,	22 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
23 'Take the finest spices: five hundred shekels of fresh myrrh, half as much (two hundred and fiftyshekels) of fragrant cinnamon, two hundred and fifty shekels of scented reed,	23 ואתה קח לך בשמים ראש מר דרור חמש מאות וקנמן בשם מחציתו חמשים ומאתים וקנה בשם חמשים ומאתים
24 five hundred shekels (reckoning by the sanctuary shekel) of cassia, and one hin of olive oil.	24 וקדה חמש מאות בשקל הקדש ושמן זית הין
25 You wil make this into a holy anointing oil, such a blend as the perfumer might make; this wil be aholy anointing oil.	25 ועשית אתו שמן משחת קדש רקח מרקחת מעשה רקח שמן משחת קדש יהיה
26 With it you wil anoint the Tent of Meeting and the ark of the Testimony,	26 ומשחת בו את אהל מועד ואת ארון העדת
27 the table and al its accessories, the lamp-stand and its accessories, the altar of incense,	27 ואת השלחן ואת כל כליו ואת המנרה ואת כליה ואת מזבח הקטרת
28 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories, and the basin with its stand,	28 ואת מזבח העלה ואת כל כליו ואת הכיר ואת כנו
29 consecrating them, so that they wil be especial y holy and whatever touches them wil become holy.	29 וקדשת אתם והיו קדש קדשים כל הנגע בהם יקדש
30 You wil also anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to be priests in my service.	30 ואת אהרן ואת בניו תמשח וקדשת אתם לכהן לי
31 You wil then speak to the Israelites and say, "This anointing oil wil be holy for you for al yourgenerations to come.	31 ואל בני ישראל תדבר לאמר שמן משחת קדש יהיה זה לי לדרתיכם
32 It must not be used for anointing the human body, nor may you make any of the same mixture. It is aholy thing; you wil regard it as holy.	32 על בשר אדם לא ייסך ובמתכנתו לא תעשו כמהו קדש הוא קדש יהיה לכם
33 Anyone who makes up the same oil or uses it on an unauthorised person wil be outlawed from hispeople." '	33 איש אשר ירקח כמהו ואשר יתן ממנו על זר ונכרת מעמיו
34 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Take sweet spices: storax, onycha, galbanum, sweet spices and purefrankincense in equal parts,	34 ויאמר יהוה אל משה קח לך סמים נטף ושחלת וחלבנה סמים ולבנה זכה בד בבד יהיה
35 and compound an incense, such a blend as the perfumer might make, salted, pure, and holy.	35 ועשית אתה קטרת רקח מעשה רוקח ממלח טהור קדש
36 You wil grind some of this up very fine and put it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting,where I shal meet you. You wil regard it as especial y holy.	36 ושחקת ממנה הדק ונתתה ממנה לפני העדת באהל מועד אשר אועד לך שמה קדש קדשים תהיה לכם
37 You may not make any incense of similar composition for your own use. You wil regard it as holy,reserved for Yahweh Anyone who makes up the same thing to use as perfume will be outlawed from his people.'	37 והקטרת אשר תעשה במתכנתה לא תעשו לכם קדש תהיה לך ליהוה
	38 איש אשר יעשה כמוה להריח בה ונכרת מעמיו
