1 'You will make an altar on which to burn incense; you wil make it of acacia wood,	1 - Per bruciare l'incenso, farai un altare di legno di setim,
2 one cubit long, and one cubit wide -- it must be square -- and two cubits high; its horns must be of apiece with it.	2 quadrato, avente cioè un cubito di lunghezza ed uno di larghezza, alto due cubiti. Ne usciranno fuori i corni.
3 You will overlay its top, its sides all round and its horns with pure gold and make a gold moulding to goal round.	3 Lo coprirai d'oro purissimo, tanto la graticola quanto le pareti tutt'intorno, ed i corni. Gli porrai in giro una corona d'oro,
4 You will make two gold rings for it below the moulding on its two opposite sides, to take the shaftsused for carrying it.	4 e due anelli d'oro sotto la corona, dalle due parti, per passarvi delle stanghe, e trasportare l'altare.
5 You will make the shafts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.	5 Queste stanghe, le farai di legno di setim, e le dorerai.
6 'You will put it in front of the curtain by the ark of Testimony, in front of the mercy-seat which is on theTestimony, where I shal meet you.	6 E porrai l'altare di contro al velo che pende avanti all'arca della testimonianza, avanti al propiziatorio che cuopre l'arca, da dove io ti parlerò.
7 On it Aaron wil burn fragrant incense each morning; when he trims the lamps, he will burn incense onit;	7 Aronne vi brucerà sopra, al mattino, dell'incenso di soave odore. Quando accomoderà le lampade, lo brucerà;
8 and when Aaron puts back the lamps at twilight, he will burn incense on it, incense perpetual y beforeYahweh for all your generations to come.	8 e quando a sera le accenderà, brucerà quel profumo che sarà in eterno per il Signore tra i vostri discedenti.
9 You will not offer unauthorised incense, or burnt offering, or cereal offering on it, and you will not pourany libation over it.	9 Non offrirete su quell'altare incenso d'altra composizione, nè oblazioni, nè vittime, nè vi farete libazioni.
10 Once a year, Aaron wil perform the rite of expiation on the horns of the altar; once a year, on the Dayof Expiation, with the blood of the sacrifice for sin, he wil make expiation for himself, for al your generations tocome. It is especial y holy for Yahweh.'	10 Una volta l'anno, Aronne pregherà sui suoi corni col sangue della vittima offerta per il peccato, e sopra esso fra voi si placherà Dio, di generazione in generazione. Sarà innanzi al Signore cosa santissima».
11 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	11 Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, e disse:
12 'When you count the Israelites by census, each one of them must pay Yahweh a ransom for his life,to avoid any incidence of plague among them while you are holding the census.	12 «Quando farai il censimento dei figli d'Israele, tutti quelli così numerati pagheranno al Signore il prezzo della loro vita, e non vi sarà piaga su d'essi quando siano stati così recensiti.
13 Everyone subject to the census wil pay half a shekel, reckoning by the sanctuary shekel: twentygerah to the shekel. This half-shekel will be set aside for Yahweh.	13 Ecco che cosa darà ognuno il quale viene al censimento: un mezzo siclo, della misura del santuario. Un siclo è venti oboli. La metà d'un siclo verrà offerta al Signore.
14 Everyone subject to the census, that is to say of twenty years and over, will pay the sum set aside forYahweh.	14 Pagherà questo prezzo chi viene compreso nel censimento, da vent'anni in su.
15 The rich man must not give more, nor the poor man less, than half a shekel when he pays the sumset aside for Yahweh in ransom for your lives.	15 Il ricco non darà più di mezzo siclo, ed il povero non darà meno.
16 You wil take the ransom money of the Israelites and apply it to the service of the Tent of Meeting, forit to be a reminder of the Israelites before Yahweh, as the ransom for your lives.'	16 Raccolto il danaro così offerto dai figli d'Israele, lo impiegherai nel servizio del tabernacolo della testimonianza, acciò sia ricordo di loro al Signore, e lo renda propizio alle loro anime».
17 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	17 Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, e disse:
18 'You wil also make a bronze basin on its bronze stand, for washing. You wil put it between the Tentof Meeting and the altar and put water in it,	18 «Farai anche una vasca di bronzo con la sua base, per lavarcisi; la porrai fra il tabernacolo della testimonianza e l'altare. Messavi l'acqua,
19 in which Aaron and his sons wil wash their hands and feet.	19 in essa Aronne e i suoi figli si laveranno le mani ed i piedi,
20 Whenever they are to enter the Tent of Meeting, they wil wash, to avoid incurring death; andwhenever they approach the altar for their service, to burn an offering for Yahweh,	20 quando saranno per entrare nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, o per accostarsi all'altare ad offrirvi l'incenso al Signore,
21 they wil wash their hands and feet, to avoid incurring death. This is a perpetual decree for him andhis descendants for all their generations to come.'	21 che non abbiano ad esser puniti di morte. Sarà questa una legge perpetua per lui, e per i suoi discendenti che gli succederanno».
22 Yahweh spoke further to Moses and said,	22 Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè,
23 'Take the finest spices: five hundred shekels of fresh myrrh, half as much (two hundred and fiftyshekels) of fragrant cinnamon, two hundred and fifty shekels of scented reed,	23 e disse: «Prenditi questi unguenti: di mirra vergine e scelta, cinquecento sicli; di cinnamomo, la metà, cioè duecentocinquanta sicli; di canna aromatica, altri duecentocinquanta;
24 five hundred shekels (reckoning by the sanctuary shekel) of cassia, and one hin of olive oil.	24 di cassia, cinquecento sicli, secondo la misura del santuario; d'olio d'oliva, la misura d'un hin.
25 You wil make this into a holy anointing oil, such a blend as the perfumer might make; this wil be aholy anointing oil.	25 Ne farai l'olio santo per le unzioni, unguento composto secondo le regole dei profumieri;
26 With it you wil anoint the Tent of Meeting and the ark of the Testimony,	26 e con esso ungerai il tabernacolo della testimonianza, l'arca della legge,
27 the table and al its accessories, the lamp-stand and its accessories, the altar of incense,	27 la mensa co' suoi arredi, il candelabro co' suoi utensili, l'altare dell'incenso,
28 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories, and the basin with its stand,	28 e quello dell'olocausto, con tutta la suppellettile che appartiene al loro culto.
29 consecrating them, so that they wil be especial y holy and whatever touches them wil become holy.	29 Santificherai tutte queste cose, e diverranno santissime; chi le toccherà, rimarrà santificato.
30 You wil also anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to be priests in my service.	30 Ungerai Aronne e i suoi figli, e li santificherai, acciò esercitino il mio sacerdozio.
31 You wil then speak to the Israelites and say, "This anointing oil wil be holy for you for al yourgenerations to come.	31 Ed ai figli d' Israele dirai: - Quest'olio per l'unzione sarà per me santo in tutte le vostre generazioni.
32 It must not be used for anointing the human body, nor may you make any of the same mixture. It is aholy thing; you wil regard it as holy.	32 Carne d'uomo non verrà unta con esso, e non ne farete altro d'eguale composizione, perchè è stato santificato, e dev'essere santo per voi.
33 Anyone who makes up the same oil or uses it on an unauthorised person wil be outlawed from hispeople." '	33 Chiunque ne comporrà del simile, o ne darà ad un estraneo, sarà sterminato di mezzo al suo popolo -».
34 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Take sweet spices: storax, onycha, galbanum, sweet spices and purefrankincense in equal parts,	34 Disse poi il Signore a Mosè: «Prenditi questi aromi: stacte, storace, galbano di buon odore, e incenso lucidissimo, tutti in egual peso;
35 and compound an incense, such a blend as the perfumer might make, salted, pure, and holy.	35 e ne farai un timiama preparato a regola di profumiere; diligentemente mescolato, puro, al tutto degno di essermi offerto.
36 You wil grind some of this up very fine and put it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting,where I shal meet you. You wil regard it as especial y holy.	36 Quando l'avrai pestato in polvere finissima, ne porrai innanzi al tabernacolo del testimonio, nel qual luogo io ti apparirò. Questo timiama sarà per voi cosa santissima.
37 You may not make any incense of similar composition for your own use. You wil regard it as holy,reserved for Yahweh Anyone who makes up the same thing to use as perfume will be outlawed from his people.'	37 Della sua composizione non vi servirete per uso vostro, perché è consacrato al Signore.
	38 Chiunque ne farà del simile, per godere egli del suo odore, sarà tolto di mezzo al suo popolo».
