2 Chronicles 31

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.	1 Terminato tutto ciò, tutti gl'Israeliti che si trovavano lì partirono per le città di Giuda, per fare a pezzi le stele, infrangere i pali sacri, abbattere le alture e gli altari in tutto Giuda, in Beniamino, Efraim e Manasse, fino alla completa distruzione; indi tutti gl'Israeliti se ne tornarono nelle proprie città, ognuno nella sua proprietà.
2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.	2 Ezechia ristabilì le classi dei sacerdoti e dei leviti, in base alle loro classi, ognuno secondo il proprio ufficio, fosse egli sacerdote o levita, per l'olocausto e per i sacrifici, per ringraziare, lodare e servire alle porte dell'accampamento del Signore.
3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.	3 La parte che il re prelevava sui suoi beni era destinata per gli olocausti, olocausti del mattino e della sera, olocausti per i sabati, per i noviluni e le solennità, secondo ciò che è scritto nella legge del Signore.

6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.	6 Gl'Israeliti e i Giudei che abitavano nelle città di Giuda, anch'essi portarono la decima del bestiame grosso e di quello minuto, come anche la decima delle offerte sante consacrate al Signore, loro Dio, e ne fecero tanti mucchi.
7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.	7 Si cominciò a fare i mucchi nel terzo mese e si finì nel settimo.
8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.	8 Quando Ezechia e i capi andarono a vedere i mucchi, benedirono il Signore e il suo popolo.
9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,	9 Ezechia interrogò i sacerdoti e i leviti a proposito dei mucchi.
10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'	10 Allora Azaria, sommo sacerdote, della casa di Zadòk, prese la parola e gli disse: "Da quando si cominciò a portare le offerte nella casa del Signore, abbiamo mangiato a sazietà e ne è avanzato in abbondanza, poiché il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo e ciò che resta è questa grande quantità".
11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,	11 Allora Ezechia ordinò di preparare delle stanze nel tempio del Signore. Quando furono pronte,
12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,	12 vi portarono i contributi, cioè le decime e le offerte sante, per porli al sicuro. 14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.	14 Il levita Kore, figlio di Imna, guardiano della porta Orientale, era preposto alle offerte volontarie fatte a Dio; egli doveva distribuire il contributo fatto al Signore e le cose consacrate.

18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.	18 Erano registrati tutti i loro bambini, le loro mogli, i loro figli e le loro figlie con tutta la comunità, perché attendevano in permanenza alle cose sante.
19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.	19 Quanto ai figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti che abitavano nelle campagne suburbane delle loro città, c'erano in ogni città uomini designati per nome, che dovevano fare le distribuzioni ad ogni maschio tra i sacerdoti e ad ogni levita che risultava registrato.
20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.	20 Ezechia agì in questo modo in tutta la Giudea; fece ciò che è buono, retto e leale al cospetto del Signore, suo Dio.
21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.	21 In ogni opera che egli intraprese per il servizio del tempio di Dio, in favore della legge e dei comandamenti, per ricercare il suo Dio, lo fece con tutto il cuore e perciò ebbe successo.
