2 Chronicles 31

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.	1 Acabadas estas festas, os israelitas presentes foram às cidades de Judá e despedaçaram as estelas, derrubaram as asserás, destruíram os lugares altos e demoliram os altares de todo o Judá, Benjamim, Efraim e Manassés. Foi uma destruição radical. Feito isto, os israelitas retornaram cada qual para sua cidade, cada qual para sua terra.
2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.	2 Ezequias restabeleceu as categorias dos sacerdotes e levitas segundo suas classes, tendo cada um deles sua função própria, seja para os holocaustos e os sacrifícios pacíficos, seja para o serviço do culto, seja para os cantos e louvores às portas da morada do Senhor.
3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.	3 O rei reservou também uma porção de seus bens para os holocaustos da manhã e da tarde, para os dos sábados, das neomênias, e das solenidades, conforme a prescrição da lei do Senhor.
4 He furthermore requested the people living in Jerusalem to present the portion for the priests andLevites so that they might devote themselves to the Law of Yahweh.	4 Ordenou ao povo, que habitava em Jerusalém, provesse à manutenção dos sacerdotes e levitas, a fim de que estes pudessem consagrar-se à observância da lei do Senhor.
5 As soon as the order had been promulgated, the Israelites provided the first fruits of grain, new wine,olive oil, honey and every other kind of agricultural produce in abundance; they brought in an abundant tithe ofeverything.	5 Logo que esta ordem foi promulgada, os israelitas multiplicaram suas oferendas das primícias de trigo, do mosto, do azeite, do mel e de todos os produtos do campo, com uma abundância de dízimos de toda a sorte.
6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.	6 Os israelitas e os filhos de Judá que moravam em Judá deram também o dízimo do gado e dos rebanhos, e o dízimo das coisas santas, consagradas ao Senhor, seu Deus; e fizeram dele montões.
7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.	7 Esta acumulação começou no terceiro mês e só no sétimo mês acabou.
8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.	8 Vieram então Ezequias e seus chefes e, vendo esses montões, louvaram o Senhor e seu povo de Israel.
9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,	9 Ezequias interrogou a esse respeito os sacerdotes e os levitas.
10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'	10 O sumo sacerdote Azarias, da linhagem de Sadoc, respondeu-lhe: Desde que começaram a trazer essas oferendas ao templo, temos comido à saciedade e delas nos restam muitas. O Senhor abençoou seu povo: eis tudo o que sobra.
11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,	11 Ezequias deu ordem de preparar celeiros no templo do Senhor, o que foi feito.
12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,	12 Neles amontoaram fielmente as oferendas, os dízimos e as coisas consagradas. 13 and with Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jeremith, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiahas overseers under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by order of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the chief of theTemple of God.	13 Sob a direção deles, Jaiel, Azarias, Naat, Asael, Jerimot, Josabad, Elial, Jesmaquias, Maat e Banaías exerciam o ofício de vigilantes, todos sob a ordem do rei Ezequias e de Azarias, governador do templo.
14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.	14 O levita Coré, guarda da porta oriental, estava encarregado dos dons voluntários feitos a Deus, da distribuição das oferendas feitas ao Senhor, e das coisas consagradas.
15 Supporting him loyal y in the priestly towns were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah andShechaniah, who made the distributions to their brothers in their various orders, whether high or low,	15 Estavam à sua disposição, nas cidades sacerdotais, Éden, Benjamim, Jesué, Semeías, Amarias e Sequemias, com a missão de distribuir eqüitativamente sua parte a cada um, grandes e pequenos, segundo suas classes -
16 irrespective of their official genealogy, to the males of thirty years and upwards -- to each one whoattended the Temple of Yahweh to fulfil his daily obligations -- for the performance of their duties appropriate totheir orders:	16 com exceção, contudo, dos varões inscritos da idade de três anos para cima. - Faziam a distribuição a todos os que vinham ao templo do Senhor para o serviço cotidiano, conforme suas funções e classes.
17 the priests being registered according to family and the Levites of twenty years and upwardsaccording to their duties within their orders.	17 A inscrição dos sacerdotes era feita segundo suas famílias, e a dos levitas, desde a idade de vinte anos para cima, segundo suas funções e suas classes.
18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.	18 A inscrição de toda essa multidão mencionava seus filhos, mulheres, filhos e filhas, porque a distribuição das oferendas devia-se fazer com eqüidade.
19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.	19 Quanto aos sacerdotes da linhagem de Aarão, que moravam no campo e nos arrabaldes de suas cidades, havia em cada localidade, homens nominalmente designados para distribuir porções a todo varão dentre os sacerdotes e a todos os levitas inscritos.
20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.	20 Foram essas as medidas tomadas por Ezequias em toda a terra de Judá. Praticou o bem, leal e fielmente diante do Senhor, seu Deus.
21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.	21 Em tudo o que empreendeu para o serviço do templo, para a lei e as prescrições, só procurou a vontade de Deus, pondo na sua obra todo o seu coração. Em tudo foi bem-sucedido.
