1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.	1 E fatte che furono queste cose secondo il rito, tutti gl'Israeliti, che si trovarono nelle citta di Giuda, andarono a spezzare i simolacri, e tagliare i boschetti, e i demolire i luoghi eccelsi, e a distrugger gli altari non solo in tutto il paese di Giuda, e di Beniamin ma anche ne' paesi di Ephraim, e di Manasse; né si ristettero finché gli ebbero totalmente annichilati: indi tutti i figliuoli d'Israele se ne tornarono alle loro possessioni, e alle loro città.
2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.	2 Ed Ezechia formò varie classi di sacerdoti, e di Leviti secondo i loro scompartimenti; e ognuno tanto de' sacerdoti, come de' Leviti avea l'uffizio proprio pegli olocausti, e pelle ostie pacifiche, affinchè esercitassero il lor ministero, e desser lode a Dio, e cantassero alle porte dell'alloggiamento del Signore.
3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.	3 E il re suppliva del suo proprio tesoro all'oblazione dell'olocausto perpetuo della mattina, e della sera, e di quelli dei sabati, e delle calende, e delle altre solennità, come sta scritto nella legge di Mosè.
4 He furthermore requested the people living in Jerusalem to present the portion for the priests andLevites so that they might devote themselves to the Law of Yahweh.	4 Egli pure comandò al popolo dimorante in Gerusalemme di dare ai sacerdoti, e Leviti le loro porzioni, affinchè potessero attendere all'adempimento della legge del Signore.
5 As soon as the order had been promulgated, the Israelites provided the first fruits of grain, new wine,olive oil, honey and every other kind of agricultural produce in abundance; they brought in an abundant tithe ofeverything.	5 La qual cosa subito che venne alle orecchie del popolo, i figliuoli d'Israele offersero in gran quantità le primizie del grano, del vino, e dell'olio, e anche del miele; e offerser la decima di tutto quello, che la terra produce.
6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.	6 E que' figliuoli d'Israele, e di Giuda, i quali abitavano nelta città di Giuda, offersero la decima de' buoi, e delle pecore, e la decima delle cose santificate, e offerte per voto al Signore Dio loro; e portate tutte queste cose, ne fecero grandi masse.
7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.	7 Il terzo mese cominciarono ad ammassare, e finirono al settimo.
8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.	8 Ed essendosi portati colà Ezechia, e i suoi grandi, vider le masse, e benedissero il Signore, e (lodarono) il popolo d'Israele.
9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,	9 Ed Ezechia domandò ai sacerdoti, e ai Leviti il perchè tutte quelle masse di roba stesser per terra.
10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'	10 E Azaria della stirpe di Sadoc, primo Sacerdote rispose, e disse: Dopo che principiarono ad offerirsi le primizie nella casa del Signore, noi ne abbiam mangiato a sazietà, ma moltissimo è quello, che è avanzato, perchè il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo: e gli avanzi sono in quella quantità, che tu vedi.
11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,	11 Ordinò pertanto Ezechia, che si preparassero de' granaj nella casa del Signore.
12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,	12 E fatto questo, vi riposer dentro fedelmente tanto le primizie, come le decime, e le offerte di voto. E ne fu data la custodia a Chonenia Levita, e in secondo luogo a Semei suo fratello;
13 and with Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jeremith, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiahas overseers under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by order of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the chief of theTemple of God.	13 E dopo di questo a Jahiel, e ad Azaria, e a Nahath, Asael, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliei, e Jesmachia, e a Mahatli, e a Banaia deputati, con dipendenza da Chonenia, e da Semei suo fratello per comando del re Ezechia, di Azaria Pontefice della casa di Dio ai quali rendevasi conto di ogni cosa.
14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.	14 E Core figliuolo di Jemma Levitae portinaio della porta orientale avea la custodia di quelle cose, che si offerivan spontaneamente al Signore, e delle primizie, e delle cose offerte pel Santo de Santi.

18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.	18 A tutta la moltitudine, e alle mogli loro, e ai figliuoli dell'uno, e dell'altro sesso si dava fedelmente da mangiare di quello, che veniva offerto.
19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.	19 E vi erano de' figliuoli d'Aarone nelle campagne, e ne' sobborghi di ciascheduna città deputati a distribuire le porzioni a tutti i maschi della stirpe de'sacerdoti, e de' Leviti.
20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.	20 Ezechia adunque fece tutto quello, che abbiam detto, in tutto il paese di Giuda: e fece quel, che era ben fatto, e retto, e giusto dinanzi al Signore Dio suo,
21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.	21 In tutto quello, che esigeva il ministero della casa del Signore, secondo la legge, e le cerimonie, bramoso di cercare con tutto il cuor suo il suo Dio: ed ei lo fece, e fu prosperato.
