1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.	1 Portata adunque l'arca di Dio, la collocarono in mezzo al Tabernacolo che David aveva teso, e offersero olocausti e ostie pacifi che dinanzi a Dio.
2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.	2 Quando David ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e le ostie pacifiche, benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore,
3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.	3 e distribuì a ciascuno in particolare, tanto agli uomini che alle donne, una torta di pane, un pezzo di carne di bue arrostita e del fior di farina fritta coll'olio.
4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;	4 E stabilì dei leviti dinanzi all'arca del Signore, a prestare servizio, a ricordare le sue opere, a glorificare e lodare il Signore Dio d'Israele.
5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.	5 Asaf era il primo, Zaccaria il secondo, venivan poi Iahiel, Semiramot, Iehiel, Matatia, Eliab, Banaia, Obededom: Iehiel per suonare i salteri e le lire; Asaf per suonare i cembali;
6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Banaia e Iaziel sacerdoti per suonare in ogni tempo la tromba dinanzi all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore.
7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:	7 In quel giorno David costituì Asaf primo cantore per cantare coi suoi fratelli le lodi del Si­gnore.
8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.	8 Lodate il Signore, invocate il suo nome, fate conoscere fra i popoli le sue opere.
9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!	9 A lui cantate, a lui salmeggiate, e raccontate tutte le sue maraviglie.
10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!	10 Lodate il suo santo nome, si rallegri il cuore di coloro che cercano il Si­gnore:
11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!	11 cercate il Signore e la sua forza, cercate sempre la sua faccia.
12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,	12 Ricordatevi delle maraviglie da lui fatte, dei suoi prodigi, dei giudizi della sua bocca,
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!	13 voi, o posterità d'Israele suo servo, o figli di Giacobbe suo eletto.
14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.	14 Egli è il Signore nostro Dio; rende giustizia su tutta la terra,
15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,	15 Ricordatevi in eterno del suo patto della parola che ha ordinato per mille generazioni,
16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,	16 del suo patto con Abramo, del suo giuramento con Isacco.
17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,	17 Lo confermò a Giacobbe come legge, come patto eterno per Israele,
18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,	18 dicendo: « A te darò il paese di Canaan, come parte della vostra eredità ».
19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'	19 Quando eran pochi di numero, un pugno e stranieri nel paese,
20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,	20 e passavan di gente in gente e da un regno ad un altro popolo,
21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,	21 egli non permise a nessuno d'inquietarli, anzi a causa di loro punì dei re.
22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'	22 « Non toccate i miei unti, non fate del male ai miei profeti ».
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!	23 Voi di tutta la terra, cantate al Signore, annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza,
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	24 raccontate fra le genti la sua gloria, le sue maraviglie fra tutti i popoli;
25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	25 sperchè il Signore è grande e degno d'infinita lode, più terribile di tutti gli dèi:
26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,	26 tutti gli dèi dei popoli non sono che idoli; ma il Signore ha fatto i cieli.
27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.	27 La gloria e la magnificenza gli stan davanti, la forza e la gioia sono ov'è lui.
28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,	28 Date al Si­gnore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e potenza,
29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,	29 date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portate un sacrifizio e venite al suo cospetto, adorate il Signore in santo decoro.
30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,	30 Tremi dinanzi alla sua faccia tutta la terra; perchè fu lui che diede stabili fondamenti all'universo.
31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'	31 Giubilino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si dica fra le nazioni: « Regna il Signore! »
32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,	32 Rumoreggi il mare con tutto quel che contiene, esultino i campi con tutto quello che in essi si trova.
33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.	33 Allora le piante della foresta canteranno lodi dinanzi al Signore, perchè è venuto a giudicare la terra.
34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!	34 Date gloria al Signore, perchè egli è buono, perchè dura in eterno la sua misericordia.
35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'	35 E dite: « Salvaci, o Dio nostro salvatore, raccoglici e liberaci dalle nazioni, affinchè possiamo dar gloria al tuo santo nome ed esultare nei tuoi cantici ».
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'	36 Benedetto il Si­gnore Dio d'Israele d'eternità in eternità e tutto il popolo dica: « Amen » e l'inno al Signore.
37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,	37 Poi David lasciò lì, davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, Asaf e i suoi fratelli, a prestar di continuo servizio dinanzi all'arca, ogni giorno, e ciascuno a suo turno;
38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.	38 Obededom e i suoi fratelli, in numero di sessantotto: Obededom, figlio d'iditun, e Hosa li fece portinai.
39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon	39 Pose il sacerdote Sadoc e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti davanti al Tabernacolo del Si­gnore, sull'alto luogo che era in Gabaon,
40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.	40 a offrire continuamente, mattina e sera, olocausti sopra l'altare degli olocausti, secondo tutto quello che sta scritto nella legge del Signore prescritta a Israele.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.	41 Dopo lui eran Heman, Iditun e gli altri scelti nominata mente a « lodare il Signore, perchè la sua misericordia è in eterno ».
42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.	42 Heman e Iditun suonavano la tromba e battevano i cembali, toccavano tutti gli strumenti musicali per cantare al Signore. I figli d'Iditun li fece portinai.
43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.	43 Tutto il popolo se ne tornò a casa sua, e anche David, per benedire anche la sua casa.
