NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.	1 Introdussero dunque l’arca di Dio e la collocarono al centro della tenda che Davide aveva piantato per essa; offrirono olocausti e sacrifici di comunione davanti a Dio.
2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.	2 Quando ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e i sacrifici di comunione, Davide benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore.
3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.	3 Distribuì a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta di pane, una porzione di carne arrostita e una schiacciata di uva passa.
4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;	4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all’arca del Signore come ministri, per celebrare, ringraziare e lodare il Signore, Dio d’Israele.
5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.	5 Erano Asaf il capo, Zaccaria il suo secondo, Ieièl, Semiramòt, Iechièl, Mattitia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Edom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cimbali.
6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacazièl con le trombe erano sempre davanti all’arca dell’alleanza di Dio.
7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:	7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide per la prima volta affidò ad Asaf e ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:
8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.	8 «Rendete grazie al Signore e invocate il suo nome, proclamate fra i popoli le sue opere.
9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!	9 A lui cantate, a lui inneggiate, meditate tutte le sue meraviglie.
10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!	10 Gloriatevi del suo santo nome: gioisca il cuore di chi cerca il Signore.
11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!	11 Cercate il Signore e la sua potenza, ricercate sempre il suo volto.
12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,	12 Ricordate le meraviglie che ha compiuto, i suoi prodigi e i giudizi della sua bocca,
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!	13 voi, stirpe d’Israele, suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti.
14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.	14 È lui il Signore, nostro Dio: su tutta la terra i suoi giudizi.
15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,	15 Ricordate sempre la sua alleanza, parola data per mille generazioni,
16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,	16 l’alleanza stabilita con Abramo e il suo giuramento a Isacco.
17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,	17 L’ha stabilita per Giacobbe come decreto, per Israele come alleanza eterna,
18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,	18 quando disse: “Ti darò il paese di Canaan come parte della vostra eredità”.
19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'	19 Quando erano in piccolo numero, pochi e stranieri in quel luogo,
20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,	20 e se ne andavano di nazione in nazione e da un regno a un altro popolo,
21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,	21 non permise che alcuno li opprimesse e castigò i re per causa loro:
22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'	22 “Non toccate i miei consacrati, non fate alcun male ai miei profeti”.
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!	23 Cantate al Signore, uomini di tutta la terra, annunciate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	24 In mezzo alle genti narrate la sua gloria, a tutti i popoli dite le sue meraviglie.
25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	25 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lode, terribile sopra tutti gli dèi.
26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,	26 Tutti gli dèi dei popoli sono un nulla, il Signore invece ha fatto i cieli.
27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.	27 Maestà e onore sono davanti a lui, forza e gioia nella sua dimora.
28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,	28 Date al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e potenza,
29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,	29 date al Signore la gloria del suo nome. Portate offerte ed entrate al suo cospetto, prostratevi al Signore nel suo atrio santo.
30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,	30 Tremi davanti a lui tutta la terra. È stabile il mondo, non potrà vacillare!
31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'	31 Gioiscano i cieli, esulti la terra, e dicano tra le genti: “Il Signore regna!”.
32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,	32 Risuoni il mare e quanto racchiude, sia in festa la campagna e quanto contiene.
33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.	33 Acclamino gli alberi della foresta davanti al Signore che viene a giudicare la terra.
34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!	34 Rendete grazie al Signore perché è buono, perché il suo amore è per sempre.
35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'	35 Dite: “Salvaci, Dio della nostra salvezza, radunaci e liberaci dalle genti, perché ringraziamo il tuo nome santo: lodarti sarà la nostra gloria.
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'	36 Benedetto il Signore, Dio d’Israele, da sempre e per sempre”». Tutto il popolo disse: «Amen, lode al Signore».
37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,	37 Quindi Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli davanti all’arca dell’alleanza del Signore, perché officiassero continuamente davanti all’arca, secondo il rituale quotidiano;
38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.	38 lasciò Obed-Edom, figlio di Iedutùn, e Cosa, insieme con sessantotto fratelli, come portieri.
39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon	39 Egli incaricò della Dimora del Signore che era sull’altura di Gàbaon il sacerdote Sadoc e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti,

41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.	41 Con loro erano Eman, Iedutùn e tutti gli altri scelti e designati per nome perché lodassero il Signore, perché il suo amore è per sempre.
42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.	42 Con loro avevano trombe e cimbali per suonare e altri strumenti per il canto divino. I figli di Iedutùn erano incaricati della porta.
43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.	43 Poi tutto il popolo se ne andò, ciascuno a casa sua, e Davide tornò per benedire la sua famiglia.
