1 Chronicles 16

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.	1 Introdujeron el arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio de la Tienda que David había hecho levantar para ella; y ofrecieron ante Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión.
2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.	2 Cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios de comunión, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahveh,
3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.	3 y repartió a todo el pueblo de Israel, hombres y mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, un pastel de dátiles y un pastel de pasas.
4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;	4 David estableció los levitas que habían de hacer el servicio delante del arca de Yahveh, celebrando, glorificando y alabando a Yahveh, el Dios de Israel.
5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.	5 Asaf era el jefe; Zacarías era el segundo; luego Uzziel, Semiramot, Yejiel, Mattitías, Eliab, Benaías, Obededom y Yeiel, con salterios y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.
6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Los sacerdotes Benaáis y Yajaziel tocaban sin interrupción las trompetas delante del arca de la alianza de Dios.
7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:	7 Aquel día David, alabando el primero a Yahveh, entregó a Asaf y a sus hermanos este canto:
8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.	8 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, aclamad su nombre, divulgad entre los pueblos sus hazañas!
9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!	9 ¡Cantadle, salmodiad para él, sus maravillas todas recitad!
10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!	10 ¡Gloriaos en su santo Nombre, se alegre el corazón de los que buscan a Yahveh!
11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!	11 ¡Buscad a Yahveh y su fuerza, id tras su rostro sin descanso!
12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,	12 Recordad las maravillas que él ha hecho, sus prodigios y los juicios de su boca,
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!	13 raza de Israel, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, sus elegidos.
14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.	14 El, Yahveh, es nuestro Dios, por toda la tierra sus juicios.
15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,	15 Recordad para siempre su alianza, palabra que impuso a mil generaciones;
16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,	16 lo que pactó con Abraham, el juramento que hizo a Isaac.
17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,	17 Y que puso a Jacob como precepto, a Israel como alianza eterna,
18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,	18 diciendo: «Yo te daré la tierra de Canaán, por parte de vuestra herencia»,
19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'	19 cuando erais escasa gente, poco numerosos, y forasteros allí.
20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,	20 Cuando iban de nación en nación desde un reino a otro pueblo,
21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,	21 a nadie permitió oprimirles. Por ellos castigó a los reyes.
22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'	22 «Guardaos de tocar a mis ungidos ni mal alguno hagáis a mis profetas».
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!	23 Cantad a Yahveh toda la tierra anunciad su salvación día tras día.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	24 Contad su gloria a las naciones, a todos los pueblos sus maravillas.
25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	25 Que es grande Yahveh y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.
26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,	26 Porque nada son todos los dioses de los pueblos, mas Yahveh los cielos hizo.
27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.	27 Gloria y majestad están ante él, fortaleza y alegría en su Morada.
28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,	28 ¡Rendid a Yahveh, familias de los pueblos, rendid a Yahveh gloria y poder!
29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,	29 ¡Rendid a Yahveh la gloria de su Nombre! Traed ofrendas y en sus atrios entrad. ¡Postraos ante Yahveh en esplendor sagrado!
30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,	30 ¡Tiemble ante su faz la tierra entera! El orbe está seguro, no vacila.
31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'	31 Alégrense los cielos y la tierra jubile. Decid entre las gentes: «¡Yahveh es rey!»
32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,	32 ¡Retumbe el mar y cuanto encierra! ¡Exulte el campo y cuanto en él existe!
33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.	33 Griten de júbilo los árboles de los bosque ante Yahveh, pues viene a juzgar la tierra.
34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!	34 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'	35 Y decid: «¡Sálvanos, oh Dios de nuestra salvación! Reúnenos y líbranos de las naciones, para dar gracias a tu Nombre santo y gloriarnos en tu alabanza».
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'	36 Bendito sea Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, por eternidad de eternidades». Y todo el pueblo dijo: «Amén». Y alabó a Yahveh.
37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,	37 David dejó allí, ante el arca de la alianza de Yahveh, a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para el ministerio continuo delante del arca, según el rito de cada día;
38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.	38 y a Obededom, con sus hermanos, en número de 68, y a Obededom, hijo de Yedutún, y a Josá, como porteros;
39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon	39 y el sacerdote Sadoq y a sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, delante de la Morada de Yahveh, en el alto de Gabaón,
40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.	40 para que ofreciesen continuamente holocaustos a Yahveh en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo escrito en la Ley que Yahveh había mandado a Israel.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.	41 Con ellos estaban Hemán y Yedutún y los restantes escogidos y nominalmente designados para alabar a Yahveh: «Porque es eterno su amor».
42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.	42 Y con ellos, Hemán y Yedutún, que hacían sonar trompetas, címbalos e instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios. Los hijos de Yedutún eran porteros.
43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.	43 Luego, todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa.
