1 Chronicles 16

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.	1 Luego introdujeron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio de la Carpa que David había hecho levantar para ella, y ofrecieron delante de Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión.
2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.	2 Cuando David terminó de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios de comunión, bendijo al pueblo en nombre del Señor,
3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.	3 y distribuyó entre todos los israelitas, hombres y mujeres, una porción de pan, un pastel de dátiles y uno de pasas de uva.
4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;	4 David puso de servicio delante del Arca del Señor a algunos levitas, para conmemorar, celebrar y glorificar al Señor, el Dios de Israel.
5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.	5 Asaf era el jefe; Zacarías, el segundo; y además, Uziel, Semiramot, Iejiel, Matitías, Eliab, Benaías, Obededom y Ieiel, con instrumentos musicales, arpas y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.
6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Los sacerdotes Benaías y Iajaziel tocaban ininterrumpidamente las trompetas delante del Arca de la Alianza de Dios.
7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:	7 Aquel día David dispuso por primera vez que el Señor fuera alabado por Asaf y sus hermanos de esta manera:
8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.	8 «¡Den gracias al Señor, invoquen su Nombre, hagan conocer entre los pueblos sus proezas;
9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!	9 canten al Señor con instrumentos musicales, pregonen todas sus maravillas!
10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!	10 ¡Gloríense en su santo Nombre, alégrense los que buscan al Señor!
11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!	11 ¡Recurran al Señor y a su poder, busquen constantemente su rostro;
12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,	12 recuerden las maravillas que él obró, sus portentos y los juicios de su boca!
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!	13 Descendientes de Israel, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, su elegido:
14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.	14 el Señor es nuestro Dios, en toda la tierra rigen sus decretos.
15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,	15 El se acuerda eternamente de su alianza, de la palabra que dio por mil generaciones,
16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,	16 del pacto que selló con Abraham, del juramento que hizo a Isaac:
17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,	17 él lo confirmó como norma para Jacob, como alianza eterna para Israel,
18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,	18 cuando dijo: «Yo te daré la tierra de Canaán, como porción hereditaria de todos ustedes».
19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'	19 Cuando formaban un grupo muy pequeño y eran extranjeros en aquellas regiones;
20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,	20 cuando iban de nación en nación y pasaban de un reino a otro pueblo,
21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,	21 no toleró que nadie los oprimiera, y castigó a reyes, por amor a ellos:
22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'	22 «No toquen a mis ungidos ni maltraten a mis profetas».
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!	23 Cante al Señor toda la tierra, día tras día, proclamen su victoria.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	24 Anuncien su gloria entre las naciones, y sus maravillas entre los pueblos.
25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	25 Porque el Señor es grande y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.
26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,	26 Los dioses de los pueblos no son más que apariencia, pero el Señor hizo el cielo;
27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.	27 en su presencia hay esplendor y majestad, en su Santuario, poder y alegría.
28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,	28 Aclamen al Señor, familias de los pueblos, aclamen la gloria y el poder del Señor;
29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,	29 aclamen la gloria del nombre del Señor, preséntense ante él, trayendo una ofrenda.
30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,	30 ¡Que toda la tierra tiemble ante él! El mundo está firmemente establecido: ¡no se moverá jamás!
31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'	31 Alégrese el cielo y exulte la tierra, digan entre las naciones: «¡El Señor reina!».
32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,	32 Resuene el mar y todo lo que hay en él, regocíjese el campo con todos sus frutos.
33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.	33 Griten de gozo los árboles del bosque, griten de gozo delante del Señor, porque él viene a gobernar la tierra.
34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!	34 ¡Den gracias al Señor, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'	35 Díganle: «¡Sálvanos, Dios de nuestra salvación! Congréganos y líbranos de las naciones, para que demos gracias a tu santo Nombre y nos gloriemos en tu alabanza».
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'	36 ¡Bendito sea el Señor, el Dios de Israel, desde siempre y para siempre!». Y todo el pueblo respondió: «¡Amén!». «¡Alabanza al Señor!».
37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,	37 David dejó delante del Arca de la Alianza del Señor a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para que prestaran servicio permanentemente delante del Arca, según el ritual de cada día;
38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.	38 también dejó a Obededom y a sus sesenta y ocho hermanos. Obededom, hijo de Iedutún, y Josá eran porteros.
39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon	39 Al sacerdote Sadoc y a sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, los puso delante de la Morada del Señor, en el lugar alto de Gabaón,
40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.	40 para que ofrecieran constantemente sacrificios al Señor en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según lo que está escrito en la Ley que el Señor dio a Israel.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.	41 Con ellos estaban Hemán, Iedutún y los demás que habían sido elegidos nominalmente para celebrar al Señor: «¡Porque es eterno su amor!».
42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.	42 Hemán y Iedutún tenían consigo trompetas, címbalos e instrumentos musicales para acompañar los cantos de Dios. Los hijos de Iedutún eran porteros.
43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.	43 Luego, todo el pueblo se fue a su casa, y David se volvió para bendecir a su casa.
