1 Chronicles 16

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA
1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.	1 Così introdussero e collocarono l'arca di Dio al centro della tenda eretta per essa da Davide; offrirono olocausti e sacrifici di comunione a Dio.
2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.	2 Terminati gli olocausti e i sacrifici di comunione, Davide benedisse il popolo in nome del Signore.
3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.	3 Distribuì a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta, una porzione di carne e una schiacciata d'uva.

8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.	8 Lodate il Signore, acclamate il suo nome; manifestate ai popoli le sue gesta.
9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!	9 Cantate in suo onore, inneggiate a lui, ripetete tutti i suoi prodigi.
10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!	10 Gloriatevi sul suo santo nome; gioisca il cuore di quanti ricercano il Signore.
11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!	11 Cercate il Signore e la sua forza, ricercate sempre il suo volto.
12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,	12 Ricordate i prodigi che egli ha compiuti, i suoi miracoli e i giudizi della sua bocca.
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!	13 Stirpe di Israele suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti,
14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.	14 egli, il Signore, è il nostro Dio; in tutta la terra fanno legge i suoi giudizi.
15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,	15 Si ricorda sempre dell'alleanza, della parola data a mille generazioni,
16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,	16 dell'alleanza conclusa con Abramo, del giuramento fatto a Isacco,
17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,	17 confermato a Giacobbe come statuto, a Israele come alleanza perenne:
18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,	18 "A te darò il paese di Canaan, come tua parte di eredità".
19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'	19 Eppure costituivano un piccolo numero; erano pochi e per di più stranieri nel paese.
20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,	20 Passarono dall'una all'altra nazione, da un regno a un altro popolo.
21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,	21 Egli non tollerò che alcuno li opprimesse; per essi egli castigò i re:
22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'	22 "Non toccate i miei consacrati, non maltrattate i miei profeti".
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!	23 Cantate al Signore, abitanti di tutta la terra; annunziate ogni giorno la sua salvezza.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!	24 Proclamate fra i popoli la sua gloria, fra tutte le nazioni i suoi prodigi.
25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.	25 Difatti grande è il Signore, degnissimo di lode e tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi.
26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,	26 Tutti gli dèi venerati dai popoli sono un nulla; il Signore, invece, ha formato il cielo.
27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.	27 Splendore e maestà stanno davanti a lui; potenza e bellezza nel suo santuario.
28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,	28 Date per il Signore, stirpi dei popoli, date per il Signore gloria e onore.
29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,	29 Date per il Signore gloria al suo nome; con offerte presentatevi a lui. Prostratevi al Signore in sacri ornamenti.
30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,	30 Tremate davanti a lui, abitanti di tutta la terra; egli fissò il mondo sì che non crolli.
31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'	31 Gioiscano i cieli ed esulti la terra; si dica fra i popoli: "Il Signore regna".
32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,	32 Frema il mare con quanto contiene; tripudi la campagna con quanto è in essa.
33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.	33 Gridino di giubilo gli alberi della foresta di fronte al Signore, perché viene per giudicare la terra.
34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!	34 Lodate il Signore, perché è buono, perché la sua grazia dura sempre.
35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'	35 Dite: "Salvaci, Dio della nostra salvezza; raccoglici, liberaci dalle genti sì che possiamo celebrare il tuo santo nome, gloriarci della tua lode.
36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'	36 Sia benedetto il Signore, Dio di Israele, di secolo in secolo". E tutto il popolo disse: "Amen, alleluia".
37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,	37 Quindi Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, perché officiassero davanti all'arca secondo il rituale quotidiano;
38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.	38 lasciò Obed-Èdom figlio di Idutun, e Cosà, insieme con sessantotto fratelli, come portieri.

42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.	42 Con loro avevano trombe e cembali per suonare e altri strumenti per il canto divino. I figli di Idutun erano incaricati della porta.
43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.	43 Infine tutto il popolo andò a casa e Davide tornò per salutare la sua famiglia.
