1 Chronicles 13

1 David conferred with the commanders of the thousands and the hundreds, in fact with al the leaders.	1 Fece David consiglio con gli tribuni, e con gli centurioni, e con tutti i principi.
2 Then, to the whole assembly of Israel, David said, 'If this has your approval, and if Yahweh our Godwil s it so, we shal send messengers to the rest of our brothers throughout the territories of Israel, and also tothe priests and Levites in their towns and pasture lands, bidding them join us.	2 E disse a tutta la moltitudine (de' figliuoli) d' Israel: se a voi piace, e dal Signore procede questa parola la quale io dico, mandiamo a tutti gli altri nostri fratelli per tutte le terre d' Israel, e a' sacerdoti e a' Leviti i quali àbitano ne' borghi delle città, ch' egli si raunino (e vegnano) a noi,
3 And then we will go and recover the ark of our God, for in the days of Saul we neglected to do it.'	3 e reduciamo l'arca del nostro Signore Iddio a noi; però che nel tempo di Saul noi non l'abbiamo richiesta.
4 The whole assembly agreed to this, because al the people thought that this was the right thing to do.	4 E tutta la moltitudine rispose che così fosse fatto; però che a tutto il popolo era piaciuto quello detto.
5 So David summoned al Israel from the Shihor of Egypt to the Pass of Hamath, to bring the ark of Godfrom Kiriath-Jearim.	5 Onde raund David tutto Israel, da Sior d'Egitto insino all' uscita di Emat, per rimenare l'arca di Dio di Cariatiarim.
6 David and al Israel then went up to Baalah, to Kiriath-Jearim in Judah, from there to bring up the arkof God, which bears the title 'Yahweh enthroned on the winged creatures'.	6 E sali David, e tutti gli uomini d' Israel, al colle di Cariatiarim il quale è in Iuda, acciò che tollesse di là l'arca del Signore Iddio, il quale siede sopra i cherubini, dove è invocato il nome suo.
7 They transported the ark of God out of Abinadab's house on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio drove thecart.	7 E puosero l'arca del Signore sopra uno carro nuovo della casa d'Abinadab; e Oza e suo fratello menavano il carro (nuovo).
8 David and al Israel danced before God with al their might, singing to the accompaniment of harps,lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.	8 E David e tutto Israel guizzavano dinanzi a Dio con tutta la virtù e con canti e con chitarre e con salterii e con timpani e con cembali e con trombe.
9 When they came to the threshing-floor of the Javelin, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark,as the oxen were making it tilt.	9 E venuti all' aja di Chidon, Oza distese la mano sua per tenere l'arca; però che il bue calcitrando l' avea chinata.
10 This roused Yahweh's anger against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had laid his handon the Ark, and there he died before God.	10 E adirossi il Signore contro Oza, e percosselo, però che avea tocca l'arca; e morì ivi ritta nel cospetto di Dio.
11 David resented Yahweh's having broken out against Uzzah, and the place was given the namePerez-Uzzah, which it stil has today.	11 E contristossi David, però che Iddio avea percosso Oza; e chiamò quello luogo PERCUSSIONE DI OZA insino al presente dì.
12 That day David felt afraid of God. 'How can I bring the ark of God to be with me?' he said.	12 E allotta temette Iddio, e disse: come potrò io recare a me l'arca di Dio?
13 So David did not take the ark with him into the City of David but had it put in the house of Obed-Edom of Gath.	13 E per questa cagione non la recoe a sè, cioè nella città di David, ma portolla in casa di Obededom Geteo.
14 The ark of God remained with Obed-Edom, in his house, for three months, and Yahweh blessedObed-Edom's family and everything that belonged to him.	14 E istette l'arca in casa di Obededom tre mesi; e benedisse Iddio la casa sua, e (poi) tutte le cose le quali egli avea.
