1 Chronicles 13

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 David conferred with the commanders of the thousands and the hundreds, in fact with al the leaders.	1 Majd tanácsot tartott Dávid az ezredesekkel, a századosokkal és az összes főemberrel,
2 Then, to the whole assembly of Israel, David said, 'If this has your approval, and if Yahweh our Godwil s it so, we shal send messengers to the rest of our brothers throughout the territories of Israel, and also tothe priests and Levites in their towns and pasture lands, bidding them join us.	2 és ezt mondta Izrael egész gyülekezetének: »Ha tetszik nektek, s az Úrtól, a mi Istenünktől ered ez a dolog, amelyet mondok, küldjünk el többi testvéreinkhez, Izrael valamennyi vidékére, meg a papokhoz és a levitákhoz, akik a városaikhoz tartozó majorokban laknak, hogy gyűljenek hozzánk,
3 And then we will go and recover the ark of our God, for in the days of Saul we neglected to do it.'	3 és hozzuk vissza Istenünk ládáját mihozzánk. Saul idejében ugyanis nem gondoskodtunk róla.«
4 The whole assembly agreed to this, because al the people thought that this was the right thing to do.	4 Erre az egész nép azt felelte, hogy úgy legyen, tetszett ugyanis ez a dolog az egész népnek.
5 So David summoned al Israel from the Shihor of Egypt to the Pass of Hamath, to bring the ark of Godfrom Kiriath-Jearim.	5 Egybegyűjtötte tehát Dávid egész Izraelt, Egyiptom Síhorjától Emát bejárójáig, hogy elhozza az Isten ládáját Kirját-Jearimból.
6 David and al Israel then went up to Baalah, to Kiriath-Jearim in Judah, from there to bring up the arkof God, which bears the title 'Yahweh enthroned on the winged creatures'.	6 Aztán felment Dávid és Izrael egész férfinépe a Júdában lévő Kirját-Jearim halmára, hogy elhozza onnan az Istennek, a kerubok között ülő Úrnak ládáját, ahol segítségül hívták az ő nevét.
7 They transported the ark of God out of Abinadab's house on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio drove thecart.	7 Ki is hozták Isten ládáját Abinádáb házából és rátették egy új szekérre. Óza és fivére vezették a szekeret,
8 David and al Israel danced before God with al their might, singing to the accompaniment of harps,lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.	8 Dávid és egész Izrael pedig teljes erejéből táncolt Isten előtt, ének, lant, hárfa, dob, cintányér és trombita kísérettel.
9 When they came to the threshing-floor of the Javelin, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark,as the oxen were making it tilt.	9 Amikor azonban Hidon szérűjéhez értek, Óza kinyújtotta kezét, hogy fenntartsa a ládát, mert a féktelen ökrök megugrottak.
10 This roused Yahweh's anger against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had laid his handon the Ark, and there he died before God.	10 Ekkor az Úr megharagudott Ozára, s megverte őt, amiért a ládához nyúlt, úgy, hogy meghalt ott, az Úr előtt.
11 David resented Yahweh's having broken out against Uzzah, and the place was given the namePerez-Uzzah, which it stil has today.	11 Erre Dávid elszomorodott, hogy az Úr elszakította Ózát, s elnevezte azt a helyet Óza elszakításának. Így is hívják mind a mai napig.
12 That day David felt afraid of God. 'How can I bring the ark of God to be with me?' he said.	12 Ugyanakkor Istentől való félelem szállta meg és így szólt: »Hogyan vihetném be magamhoz Isten ládáját?«
13 So David did not take the ark with him into the City of David but had it put in the house of Obed-Edom of Gath.	13 Éppen azért nem is vitte be magához, vagyis a Dávid-városba, hanem a getita Obededom házába irányította.
14 The ark of God remained with Obed-Edom, in his house, for three months, and Yahweh blessedObed-Edom's family and everything that belonged to him.	14 Így az Isten ládája három hónapig Obededom házában maradt és az Úr megáldotta házát és mindenét, amije volt.
