1 Chronicles 13

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 David conferred with the commanders of the thousands and the hundreds, in fact with al the leaders.	1 وشاور داود قواد الالوف والمئات وكل رئيس
2 Then, to the whole assembly of Israel, David said, 'If this has your approval, and if Yahweh our Godwil s it so, we shal send messengers to the rest of our brothers throughout the territories of Israel, and also tothe priests and Levites in their towns and pasture lands, bidding them join us.	2 وقال داود لكل جماعة اسرائيل ان حسن عندكم وكان ذلك من الرب الهنا فلنرسل الى كل جهة الى اخوتنا الباقين في كل اراضي اسرائيل ومعهم الكهنة واللاويون في مدن مسارحهم ليجتمعوا الينا
3 And then we will go and recover the ark of our God, for in the days of Saul we neglected to do it.'	3 فنرجع تابوت الهنا الينا لاننا لم نسأل به في ايام شاول.
4 The whole assembly agreed to this, because al the people thought that this was the right thing to do.	4 فقال كل الجماعة بان يفعلوا ذلك لان الأمر حسن في اعين جميع الشعب.
5 So David summoned al Israel from the Shihor of Egypt to the Pass of Hamath, to bring the ark of Godfrom Kiriath-Jearim.	5 وجمع داود كل اسرائيل من شيحور مصر الى مدخل حماة ليأتوا بتابوت الله من قرية يعاريم.
6 David and al Israel then went up to Baalah, to Kiriath-Jearim in Judah, from there to bring up the arkof God, which bears the title 'Yahweh enthroned on the winged creatures'.	6 وصعد داود وكل اسرائيل الى بعلة الى قرية يعاريم التي ليهوذا ليصعدوا من هناك تابوت الله الرب الجالس على الكروبيم الذي دعي بالاسم.
7 They transported the ark of God out of Abinadab's house on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio drove thecart.	7 واركبوا تابوت الله على عجلة جديدة من بيت ابيناداب وكان عزّا واخيو يسوقان العجلة
8 David and al Israel danced before God with al their might, singing to the accompaniment of harps,lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.	8 وداود وكل اسرائيل يلعبون امام الله بكل عزّ وباغاني وعيدان ورباب ودفوف وصنوج وابواق.
9 When they came to the threshing-floor of the Javelin, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark,as the oxen were making it tilt.	9 ولما انتهوا الى بيدر كيدون مدّ عزّا يده ليمسك التابوت لان الثيران انشمصت.
10 This roused Yahweh's anger against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had laid his handon the Ark, and there he died before God.	10 فحمي غضب الرب على عزّا وضربه من اجل انه مدّ يده الى التابوت فمات هناك امام الله.
11 David resented Yahweh's having broken out against Uzzah, and the place was given the namePerez-Uzzah, which it stil has today.	11 فاغتاظ داود لان الرب اقتحم عزّا اقتحاما وسمّى ذلك الموضع فارص عزّا الى هذا اليوم.
12 That day David felt afraid of God. 'How can I bring the ark of God to be with me?' he said.	12 وخاف داود الله في ذلك اليوم قائلا كيف آتي بتابوت الله اليّ.
13 So David did not take the ark with him into the City of David but had it put in the house of Obed-Edom of Gath.	13 ولم ينقل داود التابوت اليه الى مدينة داود بل مال به الى بيت عوبيد ادوم الجتّي.
14 The ark of God remained with Obed-Edom, in his house, for three months, and Yahweh blessedObed-Edom's family and everything that belonged to him.	14 وبقي تابوت الله عند بيت عوبيد ادوم في بيته ثلاثة اشهر وبارك الرب بيت عوبيد ادوم وكل ما له
