¹ The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.	¹ Il Signore regna, esulti la terra, gioiscano le isole tutte.
² Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne.	² Nubi e tenebre lo avvolgono, giustizia e diritto sono la base del suo trono.
³ Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes.	³ Davanti a lui cammina il fuoco e brucia tutt'intorno i suoi nemici.
⁴ Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.	⁴ Le sue folgori rischiarano il mondo: vede e sussulta la terra.
⁵ The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.	⁵ I monti fondono come cera davanti al Signore, davanti al Signore di tutta la terra.
⁶ The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.	⁶ I cieli annunziano la sua giustizia e tutti i popoli contemplano la sua gloria.
⁷ All who serve idols are put to shame, who glory in worthless things; all gods bow down before you.	⁷ Siano confusi tutti gli adoratori di statue e chi si gloria dei propri idoli. Si prostrino a lui tutti gli dèi!
⁸ Zion hears and is glad, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.	⁸ Ascolta Sion e ne gioisce, esultano le città di Giuda per i tuoi giudizi, Signore.
⁹ You, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods.	⁹ Perché tu sei, Signore, l'Altissimo su tutta la terra, tu sei eccelso sopra tutti gli dèi.
¹⁰ The LORD loves those who hate evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.	¹⁰ Odiate il male, voi che amate il Signore: lui che custodisce la vita dei suoi fedeli li strapperà dalle mani degli empi.
¹¹ Light dawns for the just; gladness, for the honest of heart.	¹¹ Una luce si è levata per il giusto, gioia per i retti di cuore.
¹² Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and praise his holy name.	¹² Rallegratevi, giusti, nel Signore, rendete grazie al suo santo nome.
