1 The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.	1 Il Signore regna, esulti la terra, gioiscano le isole tutte.
2 Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne.	2 Nubi e tenebre lo avvolgono, giustizia e diritto sono la base del suo trono.
3 Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes.	3 Davanti a lui cammina il fuoco e brucia tutt'intorno i suoi nemici.
4 Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.	4 Le sue folgori rischiarano il mondo: vede e sussulta la terra.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 I monti fondono come cera davanti al Signore, davanti al Signore di tutta la terra.
6 The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.	6 I cieli annunziano la sua giustizia e tutti i popoli contemplano la sua gloria.
7 All who serve idols are put to shame, who glory in worthless things; all gods bow down before you.	7 Siano confusi tutti gli adoratori di statue e chi si gloria dei propri idoli. Si prostrino a lui tutti gli dèi!
8 Zion hears and is glad, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.	8 Ascolta Sion e ne gioisce, esultano le città di Giuda per i tuoi giudizi, Signore.
9 You, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods.	9 Perché tu sei, Signore, l'Altissimo su tutta la terra, tu sei eccelso sopra tutti gli dèi.
10 The LORD loves those who hate evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.	10 Odiate il male, voi che amate il Signore: lui che custodisce la vita dei suoi fedeli li strapperà dalle mani degli empi.
11 Light dawns for the just; gladness, for the honest of heart.	11 Una luce si è levata per il giusto, gioia per i retti di cuore.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and praise his holy name.	12 Rallegratevi, giusti, nel Signore, rendete grazie al suo santo nome.
