1 The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.	1 Dominus regnavit! Exsultet terra, laetentur insulae multae.
2 Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne.	2 Nubes et caligo in circuitu eius, iustitia et iudicium firmamentum sedis eius.
3 Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes.	3 Ignis ante ipsum praecedet et inflammabit in circuitu inimicos eius.
4 Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.	4 Illustrarunt fulgura eius orbem terrae: vidit et contremuit terra.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 Montes sicut cera fluxerunt a facie Domini, a facie Domini omnis terra.
6 The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.	6 Annuntiaverunt caeli iustitiam eius, et viderunt omnes populi gloriam eius.
7 All who serve idols are put to shame, who glory in worthless things; all gods bow down before you.	7 Confundantur omnes, qui adorant sculptilia, et qui gloriantur in simulacris suis. Adorate eum, omnes angeli eius.
8 Zion hears and is glad, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.	8 Audivit et laetata est Sion, et exsultaverunt filiae Iudae propter iudicia tua, Domine.
9 You, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods.	9 Quoniam tu Dominus, Altissimus super omnem terram, nimis exaltatus es super omnes deos.
10 The LORD loves those who hate evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.	10 Qui diligitis Dominum, odite malum; custodit ipse animas sanctorum suorum, de manu peccatoris liberabit eos.
11 Light dawns for the just; gladness, for the honest of heart.	11 Lux orta est iusto, et rectis corde laetitia.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and praise his holy name.	12 Laetamini, iusti, in Domino et confitemini memoriae sanctitatis eius.
