Psalms 97

1 The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.	1 ¡El Señor reina! Alégrese la tierra, regocíjense las islas incontables.
2 Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne.	2 Nubes y Tinieblas lo rodean, la Justicia y el Derecho son la base de su trono.
3 Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes.	3 Un fuego avanza ante él y abrasa a los enemigos a su paso;
4 Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.	4 sus relámpagos iluminan el mundo; al verlo, la tierra se estremece.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 Las montañas se derriten como cera delante del Señor, que es el dueño de toda la tierra.
6 The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.	6 Los cielos proclaman su justicia y todos los pueblos contemplan su gloria.
7 All who serve idols are put to shame, who glory in worthless things; all gods bow down before you.	7 Se avergüenzan los que sirven a los ídolos, los que se glorían en dioses falsos; todos los dioses se postran ante él.
8 Zion hears and is glad, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.	8 Sión escucha y se llena de alegría, se regocijan las ciudades de Judá, a causa de tus juicios, Señor.
9 You, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods.	9 Porque tú, Señor, eres el Altísimo: estás por encima de toda la tierra, mucho más alto que todos los dioses.
10 The LORD loves those who hate evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.	10 Tú amas, Señor, a los que odian el mal, proteges la vida de tus fieles y los libras del poder de los malvados.
11 Light dawns for the just; gladness, for the honest of heart.	11 Nace la luz para el justo, y la alegría para los rectos de corazón.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and praise his holy name.	12 Alégrense, justos, en el Señor y alaben su santo Nombre.
