2 Renowned in Judah is God, whose name is great in Israel.	2 Celebre in Giuda è Dio; in Israele grande è il suo nome.
3 On Salem is God's tent, a shelter on Zion.	3 Ed è in Salem la sua tenda e la sua dimora in Sion.
4 There the flashing arrows were shattered, shield, sword, and weapons of war. Selah	4 Ivi spezzò i guizzi dell’arco; scudo e lancia e mazza.
5 Terrible and awesome are you, stronger than the ancient mountains.	5 Tu sei fulgido, magnifico sopra i monti eterni.
6 Despoiled are the bold warriors; they sleep their final sleep; the hands of all the mighty have failed.	6 Della preda sono spogliati i valorosi di cuore. Dormirono i loro sonni né gli ‘uomini d’armi ritrovarono la vigoria delle loro mani.
7 At your roar, O God of Jacob, chariots and steeds lay still.	7 Per il tuo rabbuffo, o Dio di Giacobbe, si addormentò il cavaliere e il cavallo.
8 So terrible and awesome are you; who can stand before you and your great anger?	8 Tu sei terribile, tu, e chi resisterà, in faccia a te, appena ti adiri?
9 From the heavens you pronounced sentence; the earth was terrified and reduced to silence,	9 Dai cieli hai fatto sentire la sentenza; la terra temette e tacque.
10 When you arose, O God, for judgment to deliver the afflicted of the land. Selah	10 Quando sorse al giudizio Jahvè, a salvezza degli umili del paese.
11 Even wrathful Edom praises you; the remnant of Hamath keeps your feast.	11 Poiché perfino il furore dell’uomo ti loda e i resti del furore ti debbono festeggiare.
12 Make and keep vows to the LORD your God. May all present bring gifts to this awesome God,	12 Fate voti e scioglieteli a Jahvè nostro Dio; tutti intorno a lui apportino doni al Terribile.
13 Who checks the pride of princes, inspires awe among the kings of earth.	13 Recide il soffio dei principi; terribile con i re della terra.
