2 Renowned in Judah is God, whose name is great in Israel.	2 Dio si è fatto conoscere in Giuda,in Israele è grande il suo nome.
3 On Salem is God's tent, a shelter on Zion.	3 È in Salem la sua tenda,in Sion la sua dimora.
4 There the flashing arrows were shattered, shield, sword, and weapons of war. Selah	4 Là spezzò le saette dell’arco,lo scudo, la spada, la guerra.
5 Terrible and awesome are you, stronger than the ancient mountains.	5 Splendido tu sei,magnifico su montagne di preda.
6 Despoiled are the bold warriors; they sleep their final sleep; the hands of all the mighty have failed.	6 Furono spogliati i valorosi,furono colti dal sonno,nessun prode ritrovava la sua mano.
7 At your roar, O God of Jacob, chariots and steeds lay still.	7 Dio di Giacobbe, alla tua minacciasi paralizzano carri e cavalli.
8 So terrible and awesome are you; who can stand before you and your great anger?	8 Tu sei davvero terribile;chi ti resiste quando si scatena la tua ira?
9 From the heavens you pronounced sentence; the earth was terrified and reduced to silence,	9 Dal cielo hai fatto udire la sentenza:sbigottita tace la terra,
10 When you arose, O God, for judgment to deliver the afflicted of the land. Selah	10 quando Dio si alza per giudicare,per salvare tutti i poveri della terra.
11 Even wrathful Edom praises you; the remnant of Hamath keeps your feast.	11 Persino la collera dell’uomo ti dà gloria;gli scampati dalla collera ti fanno festa.
12 Make and keep vows to the LORD your God. May all present bring gifts to this awesome God,	12 Fate voti al Signore, vostro Dio, e adempiteli,quanti lo circondano portino doni al Terribile,
13 Who checks the pride of princes, inspires awe among the kings of earth.	13 a lui che toglie il respiro ai potenti,che è terribile per i re della terra.
