Psalms 63

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 A psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.	1 Salmo de David. Cuando estaba en el desierto de Judá.
2 O God, you are my God-- for you I long! For you my body yearns; for you my soul thirsts, Like a land parched, lifeless, and without water.	2 Oh Dios, tú eres mi Dios, yo te busco ardientemente; mi alma tiene sed de ti, por ti suspira mi carne como tierra sedienta, reseca y sin agua.
3 So I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory.	3 Sí, yo te contemplé en el Santuario para ver tu poder y tu gloria.
4 For your love is better than life; my lips offer you worship!	4 Porque tu amor vale más que la vida, mis labios te alabarán.
5 I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands, calling on your name.	5 Así te bendeciré mientras viva y alzaré mis manos en tu Nombre.
6 My soul shall savor the rich banquet of praise, with joyous lips my mouth shall honor you!	6 Mi alma quedará saciada como con un manjar delicioso, y mi boca te alabará con júbilo en los labios.
7 When I think of you upon my bed, through the night watches I will recall	7 Mientras me acuerdo de ti en mi lecho y en las horas de la noche medito en ti,
8 That you indeed are my help, and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy.	8 veo que has sido mi ayuda y soy feliz a la sombra de tus alas.
9 My soul clings fast to you; your right hand upholds me.	9 Mi alma está unida a ti, tu mano me sostiene,
10 But those who seek my life will come to ruin; they shall go down to the depths of the earth!	10 Que caigan en lo más profundo de la tierra los que buscan mi perdición;
11 They shall be handed over to the sword and become the prey of jackals!	11 que sean pasados al filo de la espada y arrojados como presa a los chacales.
12 But the king shall rejoice in God; all who swear by the Lord shall exult, for the mouths of liars will be shut!	12 Pero el rey se alegrará en Dios; y los que juran por él se gloriarán, cuando se haga callar a los traidores.
